@ Mhr'djynn: are you using the bracers of archery to get that thac0 -6 with Mazzy?

yep. here's what she has on:

doomplate +3
bracers of archery
helmet of defense (no thac0 bonus)
girdle of piercing
boots of grounding
ring of the ram
shield amulet

if i put the pale green ioun stone on her she has a -7

That means Kangaxx can be killed by the archers, because the piercing arrows are counted as +4.

No, Arrows of piercing are +2 in that respect.
Not +4

Drakron, you said that arrows of piercing are +4 to THAC0, but only count as +2 enchanted to hit?

If that is correct, then that really blows. What a way to disadvantage the archer. He/she won't even be able to hit half of the creatures unless they choose the short bow of Gesen or Tansheron's bow. Well that blows too, since I like Longbows!!!

I still think there should be +3 arrows that have a thac0 of +3 and can hit +3 monsters.

i used the short bow of Gesen to kill iron golems and the bigger one(name?) but it took me aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages to kill them , but didn't cost me any damage. anyway, they are useles in the game cos often they can't come close to the characters

@ mhr'djyn-if you add the helm of balduran you get a thaco of -8...

Yes, there are no +3 arrows in the game, only the bows and the sling that does not require ammo can hit creatures that can only be hit by +3 or +4 weapons.
