In my (yet another) new game, I changed:
Jaheira -> Human fighter dualled to avenger
and
Mazzy -> Halfling multiclass fighter/Cleric.
I changed Mazzy because I've never taken her to the end of ToB and need a cleric. Halfling should only be able to multiclass fighter/thief. I don't know why. I always wanted to try either Halfling fighter/cleric or thief/cleric, and take advantage of sling proficiency halflings have. I changed her weapon proficiency to sling grandmastery, followed by mace (to use the one which gives her strength enhancement). Could have changed to flail instead. Staff is too cruel for halflings to use, I think.
Now, she is also a priest of Helm, with her original alignment of Lawful Good. I know this is even more outrageous than fighter/cleric halfling, but, honestry, can you imagine Mazzy working for Lathander? She is definitely a servant of Helm, I believe.

Actually, Mazzy is a servant of Avoreen, from whom she got her "paladin" abilities and her special weapons. Making her a fighter cleric is a cool idea, but I would probably have gone with UndeadHunter, considering the whole Shade-lord thing.
Have you had any problems with changing her to an "illegal" combination for her race? I am thinking of soloing a dwarven Mage/Thief all the way through the series, but was wondering if there were any internal problems with it. I have heard that the character's avatar sometimes is incompatible with certain animations, which causes the game to crash. But since Mazzy is already a spell-caster of sorts, perhaps that wouldn't apply to her.

I haven't got any trouble with fighter/cleric Mazzy so far. She's really good and I recommend the change to anyone. Definitely better than the one dual class fighter/cleric already in the game! (you know the big mouthed paladin wannabe...
)
I have problem with dual class Jaheira, though. For some reason, she has almost unlimited supply of mage spells available to avenger (chromatic orb, web, etc), each time I load the game. It's bizzar. I deleted them with SK, then reassigned the avenger kit, and it's fine for a game, but as soon as I load (or reload), she regaines the 128 Chromatic Orb and Web each, 64 Lightning Bolts, etc. Not that I'm complaining...

Trouble with Shapeshifter in SK
So... I've done ALOT of SK hacking in my time
but now I got a problem.
Today I tried out the Shapeshifter and made a party with Vic, Kelsey, Minsc, Jan and Yoshi.
Got into SK and increased their movement (I really hate the normal pace, it's soooo slow...) then added HM Beh. Antimagic ray to Kelsey, shifted a couple of profiences (sp?) and changed Vics avatar to Elven mage (its nicer that way). Then got back to the game and loaded my save... then the whole game crashes!
I've done these changes (and many more) before without problems, why does it happends now? Is it just because the Shapeshifter? In an erlier game I had Cernd and he caused the game to crash in the UD under the influence of the morph spell, he couldn't change to werewolf while transformed...

I suspect its the movement...I know for a fact that the hive mother anti magic ray can be cast by elfs...the vic change may also be a possible suspect, since the one time ever that I've changed avatars to a different race, it crashed my games...
about the cernd problem....you might want to look to install the "no drow avatars in the underdark" component of the ease of use mod by wiemer...and the shapeshifter rebalance is such a nice mod...

Well, I tried again and saved after every change... took me some time, but it was the antimagic ray that caused problems. Probably because Kelsey's human, I've had my PC as an Elf have it before w/o problems.
Now that was an uberchar... Sorc with HMB antimagic/desintigrate and Rest spells
Used SK to give him every spell I wanted to have and increased the casting ability to, like 20 spells/level. Let's just say that Jons little dungeon was nooo problem at all...
Btw, has anyone tried to play with an Ctrl-Q party? I had another sorc with a party of iron and adm golems. Not much banter, but powerful allies.

hive mother anti magic ray, perminent g acuity, immunity to wing buffet, imprison, maze and timestop...rest spell, use any item, demogorgon demon summoning...
i'm of two minds about the x9 backstab ability...its nice, and quite fun, however too powerful???
maybe not, maybe so...

Yeah. I decided that Coran needed to be put to work after saving him from the werewolves. I needed to tweak him somewhat. 20 HP at Level 13 fighter... I don't think so...
Anyway, he was an awesome archer to add. Thought about adding Firkraag... Maybe another day.

true...its incredibly easy to allow a sorc to use druid and cleric spells...
all you need to do is open up all the cleric and druid spells you want, then change 2 parameters inside near infinity (using a standard mage spell as a template) and change it to a mage spell, then assign via shadowkeeper...
now then the trick is to only have 8 spells per level, since if you have over 8 spells per level, extensive experience with sorcerors in the past have shown there is a great danger of making chain contingency and spell trigger not display all the spells correctly...and you really don't need every spell in the book, just all the good ones...
oh and btw, did i mention i was using spell 50 cleric and druid spells?
a 40 dice flamestrike is a spell of terror and awe...

Seems like you would have trouble getting through doors and narrow passages. Did you complete the whole game this way?

Nay, no problem since I change their avatars to human in SK.
didn't complete game though, I'm a born re-starter!
Started to solo a thief/mage once and needed some more fighter help, summoned a fairy(sp?) dragon and SK tweaked him a bit...
made him look like a wyvern, dualwielded +5 pitchwife and had every fire spell, incl dragonbreath... got a bit overpowerd.

I think Anomen should be a bard. He can match Garrick with his wit and intelligence (or the lack of them, rather), and narcissism.
