He could endanger me and the party with his "smack-evilness-crying-out-loud" behavior...
However, he *is* hilarious. There's one particular incident that I'm thinking of (but let's not give it away and spoil it for others) where Minsc will actually interfere with standard user choices.

The characters who talk alot get irritating once you've played the game a few times
Like Araie and her wings. Bloody hell woman, please be quiet!
I'd never be rude to them in the game. It gives you a option to tell her to shut up but I don't have the guts to press it.

Hmph.
*Take mental note:
Take Minsc instead of Yoshimo when I go to the Spellhold next time around .* Hehe.

why dont you take anomen with you????????he is a very good fighter and a very good priest.and if you have him with you, then you don't have to take jaheira.personaly, jah gets on my nervs a litle bit......
and minsc can be replaced by korgan,if you dont like having an evil character in your party.

Eheh, thank you for your suggestion, but I actually like Jaheira...
And that also one of the problems, I kinda like her, but I dont want her along every time. But since I really like roleplaying, I find it hard to justify it if I dont take her along...
This in contradiction with Anomen, who I find actually quite annoying....his arrogance is working on my nerves often...
Although I have to agree that hes a pretty strong NPC.
And @ fable, I think I know which happening ure refering to, and ure indeed right, its one of the funniest dialogs I have seen

1=Me (archer)/Jah/Minsc/Immie/Tashia/Dhalis (ToB guy maybe lata)
2=Me (archer)/Jah/Minsc/Immie/Viconia/Kelsey
3=Me (archer)/Jah/Minsc/Immie/Aerie/Dhalis (ToB guy maybe lata)
I am trying to get through SoA and TDD with the perfect party, for the perfect ride...
I have read this again, and considering the replies I got, I got to the conclusion that I wrote a totally different thing then I actually intented to (well, at least in my head
). Darn me and my ignorance
Anyway, I actually ment: which party would be bested suited for the perfect "friends" party?
As in: no conflict, everybody can get along, and nobody comes along for the profit, no betrayel...
I know what I think of it (as in; NPC's, power, who gets along, etc), since I played the game enough times now, but I want to know what other people think, since playing this game that many times can make me a bit subjective...
Hope you understand this, cause I have a hard time understanding and explaining it myself actually

Hmmmm.....
How about this:
In Chapter 1 You/Immie/Jah/Minsc/Yoshimo
Through Spellhold You/Jah/Minsc/Yosh/Tashia + various (for their quests - miss any you don't like)
Take core 5 to spellhold...[THE OBVIOUS STUFF HAPPENS]
You/Immie/Jah/Minsc to Underdark
Pick up Solaufein in the Underdark->End of SoA
You can retune in ToB if you like...

Hmm, Sola.....you know, that isnt such a bad suggestion at all.
Im gonna think real carefull on that one, thx nepthu
Edit: You know, sometimes I wished there were more cleric/mages like Aerie, only then male and with a bit more backbone in the beginning....

Well, I'll throw my 2 cents in here.
You could always think that Jahiera and Minsc need to 'take some time off' to recover from their respective loses. Bring them through Irencus' Dungeon then let them find a place in Amn to recover. I know it isn't a chat option, but it is a 'good' way to think of it.

Valid reasons for a CG character to dump Jah:
1- Even though she's scripted as NG in my opinion, she is in fact Neutral. Alignment-wise, there would be clashes of opinion on decisions to be made.
2- Some of us consider her bossy and annoying. In the first dialog with her outside of Chateau Irenicus, she's not terribly pleasant and that's a fair place to leave her.
3- If you have a full party while rescuing Imoen and tell Immie that there's no room for her, Jaheira will volunteer to be left behind. Of course, I seem to remember her still giving the "This is unexpected" line if you take her up on her offer.
4- The party gets too big and there are people who fit in better. You can always use the rationale that you are on a mission and sometimes sacrifices need to be made for the good of the mission.
Finally, if you're role-playing and are enamoured with her, there is no good reason to dump her. Also if you are a sucker for guilt-trips, you won't be able to leave her. It took me a few tries to get over the guilt.
Now if you need ways to actually leave her, I'll refer you to the lyrics of Paul Simon's 50 ways to leave your lover
