Bah, I have a friend who is a lawyer...and before that she was one of Sweden's most internationally famous fashion models. And she's very smart, too.

Astafas is also a lawyer, although a vampiric one...and he is very handsome

My turnoff: when a person can't live without talking about his or her ex through a single two-hour date. Oooh, that's aggravating.

I had been set up on a date that hadn't even started well, and then the loser kept bringing up how his girlfriend of three months had dumped him a week before. He woul not drop it, and by the end of the date I knew so much about this woman I could have called her family.

My friend is not the easily shocked type, but he admitted he became totally paralysed for a moment there :D He left quite quickly after the surprising discovery :D He was also very disappointed since the transsexual guy was actually very nice and extremly good looking, but my friend is totally straight, unfortunately in this situation.

Well I dig people that smoke and swear excessively.

I am turned off by people talking in cliches. It means no thoughts.

I have to agree with that one... sorry BS. :p :D

A friend of mine went on a date a couple of weeks ago, and said she realised he was a no-hoper when it transpired that 1) he was a Tory, and 2) he had no idea who the Stone Roses were. :D

@Aegis low class? You snob. :p

How would you feel about a date with a guy who talks (favorably) about his wife and likes to show you lots of pictures of his kids? :D :p

...keep up the good work. :p

Now back on topic... ;)

... I just don't like presumptuous women who think that I'm attracted to them just because a lot of people (themselves included) think they are gorgeous and sexy.Image

Prior to meeting the love of my life (who is simply perfect in every way ;) ). There used to be a few things that got under my skin...

Smokers, I can't stand them. The smell is unbearable and my friends know very well not to smoke around me. Can't stand the smell of nicotine, its a huge turnoff. I also don't have many male smoker friends and those who do smoke are wise enough to go outside or stay well away from me whilst smoking.

Shy people, some people are just so reclusive that I find it frustating to talk to them. I consider myself an extrovert person, I need to be for my type of job and I'll chat to anyone or do anything within reason. I've connected to a lot of shy people in the past, but its still a turnoff for me regardless.

The "prejudices and plain stupid", factor gets on my nerves too. ;)

I suppose it depends what you mean by low class. What things exactly do you mean?

And rhetorical skill. ;)

@Tammy maybe you should take up smoking. That way, you won't notice when other people smell bad, because you'll smell bad too. Sorted! :D

Scared? :D OMG, I actually got chatted up by this random guy in the biscuit aisle of the local supermarket once, and he started showing me photos of his kids... I mean, I was trying to be polite, but that was the last straw... take the trolley and run!! :D

First off, they have aisles devoted exclusively to biscuits?

But what if this guy (not that I'm saying I know anyone like this) were just perfectly happy talking with you, and exhibited no desire to get in your pants despite his ernest declarations of your charm and beauty? :D :D

Georgi and CE. That's it :D

@Georgi: I suppose it helps to define what I think is low class. For me, class is when you take pride in the way you look, and not presenting yourself to the world as a pseudo-hooker (these days, it's becoming harder and harder to tell if the girls are hookers, or teenagers. Oh well, either way, off to jail for me :D :o ). Also, excessive swearing I feel is low class, as well as extreme rudeness, or rudeness in general. Also, if they're idea of a great tasting meal involves fast food, low class. Does that clear it up any?

Well, you know, biscuits and other snacky type things. ;) I only remember that because he was walking along muttering to himself about fig rolls and I thought he said something to me. :D

Well, I wouldn't realise that because whenever I give 'em the benefit of the doubt, I turn out to be wrong, so I would just assume he was being sleazy and run away. :D

But hey, if you want to call Aegis something, just tell me and I will do it for you. :D

So you like girls who look sophisticated, speak pleasantly, and appreciate fine cuisine? I see why you like CE so much. ;)

I do see what you mean, but I'm not sure low class is the best way to express it. I mean, as anyone who has ever seen a Richard Curtis movie knows, upper class toffs swear gratuitously. :D Just out of curiousity, where do you draw the line between dressing sexy, and dressing like a hooker?

Modesty, I think, sums it up nicely. I think that when a woman flaunts everything she has, almost to the point of wearing clothes becoming an excercise in futility, it borders dangerously close to, if not on, the line of dressing as if she were trying to sell her body.

A bit of mystery is often (at least for me) more appealing then actually seeing. I don't think a woman should cover up every bit of her skin, but enough of it that she isn't mistaken for a hooker.

I'm turned off by guys who are obviously full of themselves and guys who try too hard to impress me. I'm not a celebrity-worshipper or a talent scout. :)
