Not too hard...

I know the question is a little old, but I'm going to respond anyway.

This is my party makeup along with the weapons/spells/potions each one used.
Lvl 7 Paladin >> +2 Flail - Oil of speed - Potion of Agility
Lvl 7 Fighter >> +2 Battle Axe - Potion of Agility
Lvl 7 Ranger >> +2 Long Sword - Oil of speed
Lvl 8 Thief >> +1 Arrows
Lvl 7 Cleric >> +1 Hammer - Defensive Harmony - Strength of One
Lvl 7 Mage >> +2 Dagger - Web - Stinking Cloud - 3 Fireballs - Magic Missiles

I parked my party just a few inches outside of Yxunomei's Lair and sent my thief in, only far enough to uncover Yxunomei from the FoW (careful not to go too far in, you'll hit a very deadly trap). At that point she'll begin her spiel. Once she's finished. I ran like hell back to the party.
Once my Thief was safely back, my cleric cast Defensive Harmony and Strength of One on the whole party while my Paladin, Fighter and Ranger all drank their potions and my mage cast Web and Stinking Cloud (SC) at the entrance of Yxunomei's Lair.Yxunomei and some of the Yuan-ti were slowed by the Web and Stinking Cloud (SC). My 3 brawlers made quick work of any creatures that made it through Web and SC. I had my Thief launch arrows at the Yuan-ti Priets (for spell disruption) and had my Mage cast all 3 Fireball spells as quickly as he could at the Lair's entrance, killing (or at least severely wounding) any creatures that were stuck in the Web and SC.
Yxunomei began to cast "Summon Undead" around my party. At this point my Cleric and Paladin began crushing the skeletons with their crushing weapons, while my Mage was casting Magic Missiles at any Yuan-ti Priests that were still alive.
Luckily for me Yxunomei kept getting stuck in the Web and wasn't able to fight with my party, hand to hand, until I had wiped out all of her monsters.
Once Xnunomei broke free from the Web, I had all my members with +2 weapons surround her and begin hacking. At this point it only took about 3 seconds to wipe her out. Paladin was the only party member who got hurt, the rest of my party came out unscathed.

I think Yxunomei was pretty easy. I even defeated her on insane without losing a single party member.

The trick is to get her out in the corridor without getting all her minions with her. A couple of fireballs should do the trick.

Yxounemei Fight

This is getting to be an old thread but to me it was one of the most interesting fights and it also brought back fond memories of some of the really hairy fights experienced in live D&D sessions. I did not read ahead or use the "walkthrough" so I was quite surprised at what the "Little Girl" morphed into. I knew she wasn't what she seemed. I beat her the first time around and did not lose anyone.
My party of 6 included straight Fighter & Cleric both Lvl 7, Mage Lvl 8, and Multiclass Ranger/Cleric Lvl 6/6, Fighter/Thief 6/8, Fighter/Mage 6/7.
I like to have my mage put Invisiblity on my Fighter/thief and then send him out scouting with find traps activated. This is better than hide in shadows as you can't do both Hide & Find at the same time. Plus removing traps doesn't blow the invisibility like it does to hide in shadows. He scouted out Y's chamber and cleared the traps.
I then tried my (to this point) patented snipe at an isolated enemy and draw that one back to be hacked down by the party tactic. Well, when I potted one of the Yuanti Elite Guards, everything hit the fan. Y morphed and the whole gang began to charge me down. The rest of my party was back at the door into that last hallway section. Having done no prep for the fight and being down some on spells I decided running back out of the level would be the best course of action.
Made it half way and saw that Y and crew were about to overtake my mage. Circled the wagons, made the best line I could. Y cast summon undead around my fighter/mage (6 skeleton archers) behind my line. I thought, "I'm hosed." Noticed that Y was focused on my fighter/thief so I had him run around while the others hacked away at her as she chased the thief. The mage took out the Yuanti archers with her 2 remaining fireballs. My fighter/mage slowly hacked down the Skeleton archers. My thief used 3 of the recently found extra healing potions to stay alive during the chase. When Y dropped they mopped up the rest (priest and some summoned zombies). Got chewed up some but nobody died!! Running probably helped some as it drew them out and some of their early spells seemed to have run out. Not how I would have planned it but it got my adeneline going and it worked.

yeah, I did it on insane too. The reason for the thread was that I kept getting "your wepeon has no effect" so I thought I had a bug (had +1 wepeons equiped for some reason) and magic had no effect.

Anway, i just stormed in (i don't like chease of outside/pre casting) then attack the ***** queen with my wepeons and got my mages to tackle the surrounding enemies with web and barages of chromatic orb (holding them)

I haven't seen anyone mention the door locking. Some people said they went to the next level to rest but for me the door locks and I can't get back to were she is. The door to the corridor that leads to the door to her room. Is this normal?

I think so, yes. I never tried to leave the room, though.

All the doors are "supposed" to close and lock. I think what happened in my first run through was that I had spread my party out in case someone in the room tossed out a fireball. I had a party member or two in the doorway and that evidently kept the door from closing and locking. On subsequent play throughs I have had them closer to her chambers and the doors closed and locked.

For me the battle was very easy. Normal setting for the game.

My tactics - I charged into the room - where after the speech that Y gave, my party started to prepare for a real show down.

My paladin shoot +2 arrows at her (with the bow that allows 4/1)after casting protection from evil
My cleric/mage - summoned skeletons to distract her
My bard - summoned monsters (monster summoning 1) at her
My thief/mage - blasted the area with a fireball twice (more against the underlings so that the summoned creatures weren't really in the blast radius but close enough that Y was hit by the fireball partially)
My fighter was confused/charmed by her and so was out of the fight after the first exchange
My second fighter (soon to be dual to cleric but not yet) used the sling to distract the guards.

Y - didn't prove to be as challenging as her appearance made her out to be. No, my paladin didn't kill her by herself but came close to.

With the paladin and the summons distracting her - the rest of the party concentrated on the underlings - surprisingly the snake priests didn't do a whole lot during the battle.

The dangerous part happened when my mage/cleric cast a dispel on the confused fighter - luckily no one but the paladin was close enough so they didn't lose whatever protection they had. With the first fighter back into action with +2 arrows - the battle slowly wound down with only one character that was badly hurt (the first fighter) and the day was won by the forces for good
