nope, you get the chance before rescuing imoen to commit to chloe...

then while chloe and imoen will flirt, she becomes the pc's girlfriend....

only if you turn her down, or play a male pc, will chloe make the moves on imoen... :p

EDIT: Chloe's voice acting is **EXCELLENT**. Whoever the person is that did her voicing, she has got some real talent. Her voicing is 100 times more suitable to the game environment than Tashia's or even Kelsey's.

I just could not stand Tashia saying stuff like: "What's up? What's the occasion?" when I clicked on her.
And yet you don't mind when Chloe tells you that "Lucy says 'hi!'" ? I find that extremely odd.

Wynne is indeed quite talented although I don't think Chloe is her best work by far. I think she's trying too hard to sound butch and it shows.

you must have imoen in the party to continue the romance after spell hold...

Damn, and I do like Jan. Well, I guess I'll have to put up with Imoen's thievely inadequacies. Just another challenge, I suppose. ;)

Hmmm, I was wondering what that "Lucy says 'hi!'" was about. I thought that she was referring to Lucy the Beast in the Adventurer's Mart but why she was saying this and what she meant by it I could never figure out.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that other people are not talented but my personal opinion is that Chloe fits in to the game better than most other NPCs.

You gotta admit that Tashia's "Yo, wassup" attitude destroys the suspension of disbelief in the game. :)

Since getting a new hard drive, I'm starting up a new game. It will have Chloe, Tashia, Imoen, Jaheira, Keldorn (or Mazzy) and my PC, a female cleric. First time I'll have played a cleric, and I'm seriously considering some mod that offers clerical kits without going overboard in the power direction. Any suggestions?

Thanks, @UU, but it's a beta, 0.82 by the look of it. As you've clearly been following the mod, how quick is the team? I won't try a beta, and I'm even leery about trying a mod that's not been upgraded--I've had too many experiences (as others have) with the understandable testing limitations of mods. Don't get me wrong: modders are doing great work for the gaming community. But I know they lack the resources to truly work out all the bugs in their mods even after they've gone public, and often rely upon reports to deal with major issues.

Yes, I know this sounds like the same sort of thing professional publishers do. And I have words for those kind of publishers. ;)

"Lucythebeast" is the alias of Chloe's author.

Your call.

No, you won't catch me arguing for a terribly immersive experience from Tashia either.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it. I'm not fond of playing clerics, either. More of a warrior mage or sorc kinda guy. :D

gotta try a kensai sorc one of these days, fable..it just is pure fun, if you don't add uber powers...really makes a lot of battles fun to play...

Wow, this is almost the same party I'm playing right now :D Except I still have Jan instead of Imoen (still ch.2). And heck no cleric of course, only a "classic" Littiz-style female kensai-mage for PC with (hacked) 19 dexterity and 16 constitution. Just picked up Mazzy too ~ haven't played her in a while.

I must say I think Tashia is "cooler" than Chloe. Pure personal preference ~~ both characters are done very well. I find Chloe a bit too loquacious and her portrait is a bit too colorful.

It's a great party though. Great balance of skills across party members, and potential for some serious uber-power: toward the end of SoA I'll have 3 high-level mages, a high-level druid, 2 kensais (kensai-mage dualled up at 13) a great archer/spear-thrower (Mazzy) and a turnip-crazy high-level thief (yes, you guessed it).

And besides, as it turns out it's Jan with 5 women :D :D :D
