It's what's shot out of a gun, it's whats found in a pencil, it's when everyone is following you. Look up words you don't know the meaning of.

The second one is 'The sword'.

I don't really see how saying "the sword" would keep you alive.

The second one... Tell him he's hot or ask him a question.

I'm pretty sure the answer to the second riddle (about what to say) is : "You will slay me with a sword"
By saying that he can't slay you with either the sword or the spell, because no matter what he does he will break his promise...
Is this a part of the game, or a funny side thread???

Sure he's easy to flirt, but it wouldn't distract him that long.

Well you said the exact answer just about. Really it's "You will slay me with your sword," but hey, you're right!

Kagouti !
Ignoring the 'riddle book' answer (about what do you say to the man who will kill with sword or spell depending on whether you tell the truth or a lie) there is more than one way to defeat this.
For example, suppose you say "There are 1100 Kagoutis in Morrowind at this moment" .
Even if it is a guess it may still be correct. Maybe for his stupidity in asking you such a question, he should go and count them.....

Well the title of this thread was, Yellow Book of Riddles so I went with the book's answer.

Yohoo!
Do I win anything?
I've heard a similar riddle before, about a man from Rhodes and a man from Crete. As the riddle goes men from Rhodes always lie and men from Crete always tell the truth, What question do you ask to find out if the man you meet is from Rhodes or Crete?
Something like that, but I can't remember exactly...
BTW, I thought kingslake's answer was pretty damn good too. I can almost picture the poor guy's face when he realizes he has to go count!
"Eeeh, just wait here, all right? I'll be back around February"
