I just read "Unnamed Book", a book that increases your shortsword skill.
It's a dramatic tale of three assassins & hoow they perfect their craft. The book goes in-depth into how to slit a persons throat, how to twist the head to avoid blood spatter on yourself, and other equally freaky things. It also tells you that if you 'saw' your victim's throat across 3 or 4 times he would bleed out efficiently with minimal blood on yourself...

Pretty graphic stuff for a game like MW, huh?

It's a good read, but the ending was slightly disappointing. Too obvious & abrupt. Also it was a bit too gory, but still interesting...

Some members of the dev team, for the fun of it. When I worked for several years in DragonRealms (text-based, for-pay MMORPG), I was in charge of the in-game library system. We had about seventy books online, some of them damned long. When I left, we had close to two hundred. Hell, wrote 14 of 'em myself.

That's hilarious! I know if i was working with game programming & i had the chance, i would go crazy writing tons of weird, wacky stuff. Any personal favorites of the ones you wrote yourself, fable?

not a nerd?

@ Monolith:
Aw, come on, how can you deny your nerd-dom? What's so bad about being a nerd, anyway? It's fun! But honestly: how much of your time do you spend on a life that isn't real - writing about it in this forum, playing it on your game system, whatever. Am I right? Heck, I don't care. I'll happily admit to being the nerd-queen. Wouldn't you?
you know what they say about all work and no play...
It's totally not worth the monetary rewards!!!

Ehm, no, I don't want to be a nerd-queen....maybe a nerd-king...
But that's a definition of 'nerd' I haven't known yet. Someone who spends a big part of his life in a world that isn't real, who writes about it, who reads it and who plays it on his game system...sounds like a dreamer to me. And yes, that's what I am. But a nerd? Hum, I don't know. Not really. But being a nerd is nothing negative - it's just something which isn't defined by reading books in a video game ;) . That's what I wanted to say with my previous post.

I read Crasius' "play" the "Lusty Aragonian Maid". Amusing in it's adolesently simple bawdiness.
Looks like a page lifted from a Benny Hill script.
Get up off of your apathetic a** and vote!
