That's weak.
I can mind if I wish, they just don't have to listen to my opinion.

On what page of the manual does it state “if you think the game is wrong, check the Infinity Explorer to see if it is a bug”? Or, what pull down menu is that within the game?
Oh, it is not. Nor, is it something that your instory character can check. Are you advocating using external game sources to inform your character what he can and can not do? That isn’t role playing!
But in any event, I see that the Liche Kangaxx has a ring. And the Demilick Kangaxx has a ring.

Kangaxx the Lich appears. He has 1 Ring of Gaxx. You pickpocket it from him. He loses the ring.
When he dies, the game generates another creature, Kangaxx the Demi-Lich..</STRONG>
Yes. Thanks for admitting it is another creature. Another creature.. ANOTHER ring.
There is nothing in the description of the Ring of Gaxx that shows that it is unique and the only one.

I don't mind you pickpocketing Kangaxx - that's perfectly legal - I mind you picking up that ring the Demi-Lich drops. That's abusing a bug the designers have missed.</STRONG>
No, that is simply doing what the designers wanted. They wanted to reward the RPG player that actually ROLE PLAYS. That means pickpocketing people prior to talking to them.
The power of the Demilich is so strong, when he is resurrected, his possession are as well.
I actually love these features.
It rewards the players who play the role..and self punishes those who don’t role play.
In any event, if/when it is a bug, they will issue an official patch fixing it. Until then, well.. we know what the programmers wanted.
Yeesh, never knew that a Tank could threaten people so well...

In the Infinity Engine, it's another creature. In the game, it's the same one.

Now that's funny!
LMAO
I'm stating something here, you do whatever you wish...
But you do know that Kangaxx isn't resurrected, right? He just breaks free from his Lich form. Actually you're the one that frees him. If you read what he says, you find that out: that was his plan all along.
But again: you go ahead and play your game the way you like it. I can't stop you, I can only tell you the truth.

To get back to the original discussion... The Perfect Tank is a dwarven berserker imported from BG1 with 20 Con, 18 dex. Dwarfs gets 1 extra minus to their saves per 3,5 point of con, so his saves will be on the negative very soon. With the red dragon armor, ring of prot +2, ring of gaxx, helm of Balduran, a shield at +3 or +4, he'll have an AC at maybe -12 to -15. With the Cloak of mirroring and the awsome saves he'll be virtually immune to most dangerous magic. His HP when imported from BG 1 could be close to 170 at lvl 19, but even if he's not imported or at a lower level, his HP should be very high. With grand mastery in axe or hammer (or with the Crom F) he'll also be a killing machine. So -the Extreme HP, AC, and saves makes this fellow a far better tank.

Finally you get the point.....IT'S YOUR OPINION. Now if you could state this when you start on your little rants it would be a major improvement (IMHO). To see my point look at your next post.....

Now what does this tell you...I will tell you what it tells me ....your doing the same thing again ...stating that it's the truth....but in all fairness...this is just YOUR opinion of the truth (IMHO). Maybe when you grow up you will realize this.

BTW, i can see the talk is about fighting monsters. IMHO, in reality we're fighting the game, i.e. our real opponent is development team, isn't it? They are guessing our way, setting beacons and taking care we aren't bored. If you can do better they are supposed, is it cheating really? IMHO, finding ways you haven't been supposed to take (besides Shadowkeeper) is fun
I really believe that very possibility of finding such way is a bonus for a game, isn't it? And the very possibility to hack and cheat is a bonus for the game on the market, too, whatever any of us might think about it.
BTW, we haven't been supposed to make new items for BG1 - or maybe have been, i wonder. Nevertheless the contribution of TeamBG&Co in popularity of the game would never have been underestimated.
And, BTW, i have a strong belief that development team have counted on it when making their games after BG1 if not already from the beginnings.
Also it might be noted, that even the use of shadowkeeper not necessary is true cheating. For example, if you set all 18 or more for you character, it should be cheating without doubt, because such a potentially godlike character you might never get rolling dice, no mater if in BG or PnP
But if you surely know there is a possibility have a character with the sum of attributes, say, 91 and arrange it accordingly because you have nor time neither patience for rolling unforeseeable number of hours, where is a cheat here, save but for your own luck?
Just my 2g,
L.

Yes, you said that already; it's getting repetitive.
Anyway, in school, I was taught that when I write a text, and it involves opinions/points of view, I should NOT say "this is my opinion" every time. The readers should know that when they read it. Evidently, since
I wrote the text.
I'm only doing what I was taught. If that's wrong, I cannot help it; blame my teachers.
Thank you.

@Gruntboy : Why do you like Kobolds (especially kobold shamans) so much ?
Posted: Mon Apr 09, 2001 3:33 am
by Gruntboy
@Manveru.
I stumbled on the Kobolds in the asylum once and thought "Kobolds: easy meat". Next thing I know my party is confused and hacking the bejeezus out of each other. How I laughed.
So now, whenever anyone prattles on about their "supertank" character or level 89.5 party, I hit them with the level 1 kobold shaman. Awesome.

Everyone has a right to a opinion. It's just your way of stating them that I have a problem with. You can blame your teachers if you want to or you can claim you were being sarcastic, I really don't care who's to blame for how you act. I just know if your teachers taugh you so much ,they forgot to teach you one thing.....To respect other people.

Weasel and The_Pope-Not trying to be rude of anything but, shouldn't you both be arguing via e-mail or at the very least in the Speak Your Mind Forum since I don't think ThePerfectTank would like to see his thread get spammed up.Just trying to be considerate here
(don't take this the wrong way
