I never played the original BG so I don't really know how strong Saverok is. If you were to compare him with Irenicus, which one in your opinion will be harder?

What level was seravok in BG1? Certainly not level 20!!! He would be invincible to a level 9 party. So where did all these extra levels come from? Hell is souch a tough place that it made him stronger perhaps? Or is it that your soul empowers him?

Is this specific to ToB? In BG2, Imoen can reach the experience point cap as a mage; which, if her thief levels were counted, would be impossible. Dual-classed Kensai/Mages, Ranger/Clerics, and other such combinations also don't seem to have a problem maxing out their second class. So what's the deal here?

well, the only thing i know for sure: Anomen cannot become level 21 with exp cap.
his fighter levels prevent him from getting enough exp, so i'd say they are counted

Please excuse my ignorance here, but isn't it that any exp your dual/multi class char gets is shared across their classes which is why they level up more slowly?

ie your fighter/mage gets 1000 share of exp, 500 goes onto their fighter exp and 500 onto their mage exp as opposed to a straight fighter whose exp would go up by 1000. :)

And if they reach the level cap with one class their exp still increases on the other/s ?

This would be fairer.

xp is split between multi classes but total xp earned counts vs the cap.

duals - their xp is earned in active class only, i.e nalia's cap as a mage is 4000 xp less since she earned 4000 xp as a thief.

both xp caps count the total xp earned.
