You got a nice piece of equipment there, Buck. I'm very jealous.

Buck must be a fledgling entrepreneur to afford all that equipment, i think he should send us some of his millions so we can all revel in the glory of fantastic BG framerates.

Very good idea. Perhaps we can all get something from Buck for Christmas? Would't that be really cool?

Hmmm... there is a correlation between Satan and Santa not noticed 'till this moment so you are the venerable Mr Claus, so what does that make Equis?

Turnips for everyone, right Buck?
First Sleep, thanks for the help with Jan-I feel stupid not figuring that one out...go to the family residence, duh.
I am on a Celeron 366, 160 SDRAM,16mb STB Velocity card.
It runs fine for me, game cache at 320 so I can Mplay. I was running 800x600 3D for awhile, but on my puny 15" monitor, not a big difference and I prefer the characters to be larger, so I dropped to 640x480 and 2D.

Or maybe Santa is Satan, scary thoughts and to all the people out there who still beleive in Santa this is all untrue and should be ignored
A standard tactic my ass. I swear i am thinking of endng Jan he is getting on my nerves

buck, 2 suggestions for your system, ditch the xgamer and get a 1024live (i heard they use less of your cpu, lol!!! no prob for you then) and get a gef2 (if you can take the shitty nvidia drivers that crash everything)

My system is a Celeron 466,64 MB RAM, a TNT with 16 MB memory and a 13 GB HD.I play the game with 3D enabled and i am using 640X480 because in my 15" monitor characters look too small.Besides it is nice to see your characters bigger, equipped with these fine suits of armor, swords, shields etc.
So Mr Sleep don't feel bad,my system is very low end.But i am used to playing in PCs like that:I beat BG1 in a P133 with 32 MB RAM,2 MB video card and 1 GB HD (a system below the minimum requirements!).Amazingly as it may seem the game run well, about the same speed as BG2 in my recent machine.I have problems only in the doppleganger fight in the palace (there was zero frame rate there,i was just guessing by reading the messages in the bottom of the screen)
This game runs poor (Ver 2.02269,I think).Sometimes i have noticed a slowdown (like Torment). It crashed sometimes when I was transfering items in the inventory screen.
I think i mostly need more RAM and propably a better video card (I wonder why though, this is not a true 3D game and IWD run a lot better)

RAM is probably the most important item you can have in your machine, it's as the sheep say more ram (excuse the pun i am just a bit mad this morning)

Got a pII400mhz with 64mbRAM and some sort of crappy 2d/3d 4mb gfxcard supporting direct3d only. Runs kinda slow when there is a lot of things on the screen. And if I turn on the hardware accelleration, it runs /really/ slow. Isnt that kind of strange? Arent these little tyhings ment to improve performance?

Funny thing is your P2 400 is probably faster than my Celeron, although that is when my GeForce kicks into the conversation, i heartily reccommend one to everyone they are genuinely beautiful peices of art.

Just built me a gaming system this summer....
AMD K7 650 (1.1GHZ is on the way)
PC133 512
ASUS K7V
Voodoo 3 3500 (embarrassing but it works)
RAM is so cheap right now.. considering going to 768mb.... crazy fun stuff...
