That's a pretty solid tactic. Of course, you can't get most of those items at lvl 1. :)

Well - seeing as you can't even get into Baldurs Gate city before late in the game - I think the title is somewhat false :D

As Coot says none of that stuff is availble (well -except the potion of haste) to level 1 characters.
this is true, but untrue. no you cant get these items till later in the game, but this is how to make it work with a lv1 chareture:

-aquire the items
-export the cheriture
-start a multi player game
-import the cherature with the items
-creat a new chareture
-transfere the items to the new cherature
-export the new chereture
-start a singleplayer game
-import the lv1 chereture
----good hunting----

I've tried the "go on the island and shoot him" thing, but he always seems to find his way around. How do you turn down the pathfinding?

Has anyone tried getting Drizzt stuck on the island, and killing him from the other side?
Another thing you could try would be to conjure lots of monster soummonings level 3 and keep making them attack Drizzt. This works best with a high level mage etc level 8 or 9 because for monster soummoning you throw at drizzt he loses around 6-12hp.
Actually, all you need is a level 5 cleric, who can cast animated dead. Cast animated dead in front of drizzt, direct the skelies to attack drizzt, then drink a invisibility potion and run out of his sight. Drizzt will just stand there and be slaughtered within minutes. I counted the damage dealt to him afterwards: it was around 84 or something.

Skelies are always my favorite....in both BGs. :p :p

Just set up your 5 other team members around drizzt and kick them off your team, then you yourself use a bow or summon hobgoblins or something and he cant attack you and wont attack your neutral party members.
Tactic that will work on lvl 1.
Have a character with tons and tons of arrows stand on the small island above drizzt.
Then have another character attack him, and lure him to the island.
Drizzt should just be in range of the archer, and just stand there taking arrows.
What will happen to the character attacking him, killed instantly :D ? If you are unlucky hes blown to pieces and u cant ressurect him :)

He/she can run (being hasted or havind boots of speed) Drizzt will focus on the archer.

Look, just go onto the isle and lure with Garrick then let him die. and you shoot the scummy drow.

Simple as, check the walkthrough if you need.

(please stop adding more tactics though, let this die.
He can only be hurt (well atleast with normal arrows) when you get a critical hit.. silly guy, if he had a helmet he would be invunerable!!
Wouldn't a helmet just protect him from the extra damage of the critical, ie. he would still take 1d6 damage?

Yes, the critacal will hit him (like it always will with a roll of 20) but it wouldnt do extra damage

Try lowering your pathfinding notes in the config!

We are talking about lvl 1 chars, they dont have the boots of speed nor a lvl 3 spell called hasted :)
