PS:T! No doubt about it. It was much like watching a very involving and well directed movie unfold. Or even a good book. Also, Ultima 5-7 and the Ultima Underworlds had pretty good storylines. Don't misunderstand me, I don't mean the "Quest For The Ultimate Doodad" main plots, but the subplots were superb. Also, both the Fallouts and Arcanum had some really good twists and turns. Gee, there seems to be a Black Isle-theme to this thread. Wonder why? LOL!

PST was clearly one of the most creative and intelligent storylines ever, but I also really enjoyed the huge plot and universe of the Morrowind series - perhaps the story concepts weren't entirely original, but the game universe and game mechanics were, and that made for an utterly engrossing experience.
I happen to have really liked Arcanaum, too - it's the only game I've played that married technology and magic, expressed in a scenario where the world of the arcane was slowly giving way to technological advances.

Some of my other favorite games were awesome, but I didn't feel that the storylines or worlds were quite as original as PST, Morrowind, and Arcanum.
