You can call me Brynn, honey ;)

"Wish" must be treated carefully. When you cast it, a djinni appears and offers you a few things you can choose from, like "all allies fully healed" or "regain my used spells". The outcome really depends on the wisdom of the caster - the wiser you are, the more chance you have that the text of the options offered are exact and can be interpreted in only one way, and that's important!

E.g. a wizard with low wisdom might get a choice like "I want to be more powerful than enyone" and the djinni will say "OK, I'll give you the chance to improve yourself" and will summon a horde of enemies on him! If you're wiser, the same wish would be "I'd like to be stronger for the duration of the battle" and the djinni will raise your strength points.

Even with high wisdom you may get tricky choices, so choose wisely. Usually noble desires like healing will be fulfilled.

This is getting slightly off-topic... Does anyone have other Draconis-beating strategies?

@Brynn: i think the translation is "Beasts we are, lest beasts we become"

Lee, glad to help! Are you playing a pure mage or a multiclass char?

Moltovir, my strategy was to keep my best spells reserved for his dragon state. Until then I had all my warriors to hit him, cast a few disabling spells on him, and when he turned into a dragon, I used Time Stop immediately, KWW, LMR, LMR, LMR, and Comet. I also found that Mordekainen's Sword is pretty tricky here, b/c it can't be knocked out with a breath (swept back by it, but returns immediately to position), and resistant to most damage and magic types. So if you summon one or two of them, they'll do damage to him constantly while your warriors are lying in the corner pulling themselves together :)

Also, make sure that Dragon Slayer is equipped along with the helmet and armor (can't recall their names now, you know, those you found at Firkraag's lair), and that all your party members are protected from fear!
