That is what I mean when I said that the best Character depends on the player. You can be a rogue/ paladin for all i care, It is the strategic moves that makes him the best Charater

Btw: A druid that becomes a stone golem with the elemental shape, gets all the immunities that a real stone golem gets i.e: Immunity to level drain, death magic, damage reduction ect.

Nope, if you're a spellcaster, you need almost no skill. Just stand, buff then IGMS.

Fighters, just run in and hit, running away when divine wrath or whatever is activated.

Spellswords, same as above, but sometimes using True Sight, or whatever buffs. Uses Greated Sanctuary occaisionally as assisstance.

hehehe i just found a very efective character to play as

Rogue 5 Assassin 25 Weapon Master 10

have him favor scythes and get all the respective feats for it

20+ damage each normal hit and 90-200 damage on citical hits

13d6 death attack 5d6 improved sneak attack (from feats) and 3d6 rogue sneak attack for sneak attacks

this may not seem impressive to sum but it sure did impress me :D

this is not the most effective character but it is still dangerous:
Rogue 20/ Assassin 20. Each sneak attack will do about 120 damage, with the improved invisibility and the darkness ability you will be unbeatable.

I finished SOU last night with an Half-Elven Monk15/Druid15/Cleric10. Lots of defenses, some pretty neat spellattacks, a deadly fist and a nice panther as my compagnon. The monk was fun, but I think I'm going to play HOTU without it. I think. Not sure yet :)

A monk20/druid20 is prety cool to, You can actualy have dragon shape if you buffed your wisdom to 30. The improved knockdown is very nice when in dragon shape, you get bigger size. A nice AC to of 60+ and some nice buff spell from druid as well as some resist from dragon shape.

Dragon shape needs an epic level druid AFAIK, therefore you cant get dragon shape without 21 levels of druid.

It requires 16 levels of Druid, contrary to what the manual says.

There is nothing good about 40 fighter.

They are not better with Dev Crit than any other fighter class as Great Strength is not a bonus feat for ANY class. Most 40 Fighters just end up taking lots of Epic Toughness's.

Care to fight mine (well, half-orc)?

Does devastating crit work with arcane archer?
How about this class: Human monk20/rogue13/weaponmaster7 dualwielding kamas with improved two weapon fighting and keen kamas and devastating crit? I have only just started playing this game and have never tried a character over level 3 so dont be too hard on my plans hehe. Not sure how to best spread the levels on the above mentioned build. I know there is going to be exp penalties but thats the price you pay.

Until Bioware patches it, it doesn't. No ranged weapons cause devastating critical (as of patch 1.62).

I have patch 1.64... but I guess I wont try it until I know it works.
So what about the monk build, any good?

I have started to invest skills in parry. I am thinking that with max parry and dev crit I will be tough to take down in melee right? Can you get dev crits on the counter attacks?
Parry seems very powerful.

i never said they are better with Dev Crit than any other fighter

fighters dont HAVE to have high of anything else so it is easier for them to make the 26 strength requirement.

Pallys need charisma and wisdom.

Barbs need constitution

rangers need wisdom dex and a lil bit of charisma

but the fighter is free to do what he pleases
