Confirming.
Loaded up a save to invade the Manaan Sith space port.

Killed the Dark Jedi before he could react but let the Sith troopers take their shot(s) for a few rounds at the PC. The only major damage are the Thermal detonators used against the PC but even then Improved Energy Resistance blocks 15 damage.

Sith Elite trooper hits PC for 27 against defense 21.
PC resists 15 damage
Sith Elite trooper damages PC for 13 damage (energy)
PC resists 10 damage

Plenty of 0 damage vs successful hits in feedback. None of the Sith troopers use ion weapons or sonic (sonic weapons have their own animation). Don't think anyone uses disruptor but the toughness 2 also comes into play vs those. I even had her take off her lightsaber for the last Sith trooper to ensure that she doesn't deflect the shots.

Hope that convinces you UserUnfriendly . It is like having a shield that can't be used up for the duration of the casting. Plus slap on a really good shield.

P.S.
By the way I didn't realize that the damage fists make is considered Universal not physical LOL. Cause I had my PC punch the last Trooper and she successfully connected for 9 damage (1 universal + strength mod).

oh yeah,,,did not know about punching...did you see my thread on the kung fu jedi??? purely for grins, but i really did kill bendek starkiller with bare hands...
