either way you dice it though, the game just isn't living up to the hype, and as the other guy said, just wait for a month untill it costs 25 buck instead of 60 and it will be totally worth it
Well it's been well over a month and the game is still 50 bucks. Even a used copy is 45 (like it's worth getting the used copy for 5 bucks less...) Anyways, I guess that means that more people liked it then didn't like it.

When I said "give it a month" I meant give it a month from now, it wont be long and the price will be lowered, and this to the guy who was swearing at Fable, you might want to stop, I nearly got banned in my first week, and that was for posting a flame, you might want to reconsider all those things you tried to post(cause as most people know, but of course you must not, any kind of swears get bleeped out idiot) and the game is way too short, and you dont need to be a "zit covered... whatever else you said" person to enjoy a good rpg, and even for people who arent liek that i think anyone enjoys getting their moneys worth out of game and being able to play for a while and have some replay value

I score it a 7/10, which is in my opinion buy-worthy. It's a great game and all but it was way too easy. I never used one single resurection potion even with my worse characters! My first guy sucked real bad; he had exp points in all sorts of different skills and spells but he still managed not to use one single res. potion.

If the game would've been harder, a lot more hours of gameplay could've been into it. Fable said that the game had an average of 20 hours gameplay; i'm sure if it was hard enough to make you use your res. potions or make you have to place your experience more strategicaly, the game would've had maybe 10 more hours of gameplay.

It's still a great game. I would tell you to buy it.

Probably somthing around 4/10, it really does get very repetative, they say its always different and that maybe but there were only slight changes depending on what way you played I thought.

i give fable 8/10 :D the only thing i might want to change is that the game is to short and u should be able to change your character a bit more.

Most definately, the way it was made to sound it reminded me of NvN, where you get to choose just about everything about your guy, instead you are stuck as a man, can't alter your face/body/combat stance/what hand you use, nothing , only cool thing was the tatoos and even those end up fairly ugly once they start to fade away

what's so cool about changing your guy?
yes! now he's got the perfect stance/body/hand to use/ w.e.!! now what...
does that really add more fun to the game? I think it would just get you pumped about it for 2 seconds then it would just get old...the fable team would've just wasted too much time adding features like that.

do you chose his fighting stance? no
do you chose any of his facial characteristics? no
do you chose the hand he uses in combat? n

you're telling me what i said is wrong? yes

Kool it paladin, he is right, originally Fable was intended to ship with full customization of your character, and it isn't because they "didn't want to waste time" its that the shippign date was pushed ahead and the game was rushed, try reading an OXM once in a while

WOah! so you're telling me that because the date was pushed ahead they cut out the whole custumization features and that doing so doesn't qualify as "not doing to not waste time"? you are one confused fellow now aren't you?

The date was pushed forward so they rushed the game right? They were looking at everything they had to do and the time they had and saw that they didn't have time to add the full customization of character, so they didn't do it so they wouldn't waste the little time they had!!

you understand now? good!

"not doing to not waste time"
Well now I'm the one confused. At any rate I don't believe they planned on letting you choose sex, skin color, or eye color. I think that's about it for customation that they stiffed us on. I believe that is because you are supposed to play this specific little boy who's village was burned down as a kid and grew up to fullfill destiny. Like zelda or any other game that was fun where the story revolved around them. It's not morrowind or whatever you had in mind.

Woah, im just browsing through this forum to see if this game is worth buying, but really, what the hell is wrong with you? Seriously, there are a lot more important things to ***** about than a stupid over-hyped game, and I've never seen stupider posts in my life, and they just keep getting stupider. Try not to insult people because of some game your'e making yourselves look bad. And I would have to say that I'm pretty enclined towards not buying this game, by the way, and sure I'd like a game to be worth my money, so I'd rather make an informed decision than start venting towards others in the most idiotic manner because you just wasted (or didn't get enough out of) the 50 dollars you spent on your new game. Be sure to get your priorities checked... calling people nazis over some rpg... jesus.
...but you must also remember that I have just spent the last 4 months of my life engrossed in Morrowind, so it is only natural that I should view this game in a slightly tainted view, what with it not even being on the same level as Morrowind.
I did enjoy Morrowind better because of the almost endless quest...even without the expansion packs. While Fable has something like 20 main quest and 9 side quests and thats it, Morrowind has almost too many to count. But I did like Fable...its just toooooo sort. 6/10. I am not unhappy that I baught it, just a little disappointed that all they wanted to do for the game was unable to be done. To bad I guess.
