I really dislike Aerie...her foul whining about the loss of her wings and how hard life is on the ground can get really annoying... It gets a little entertaining when Viconia steps in and really bags her....

This character is really annoying! "They act sooner than I anticipated...blah, blah, blah." Every time his plans are thwarted by my characters, yet he continues to believe he will triumph and be the top Bhaal spawn. He should quit while he is behind.

Haer'dalis and Jan Jansen... WILL THEY NEVER SHUT UP???? Haer'dalis keeps talking about some raven or whatever, and who the heck is uncle Scratchy?? And then that BASTARD of a bard wanted to steal my Aerie! If my paladin hadn't been good, I'd have chopped him to pieces and fed then to umber hulks! Hey waitaminuite.... haer'dalis is a tiefling... that means he has demonic blood!! EVIL!!! DIE!!!

On a sidenote I have always hated all gnomes. In all games that have them. Is there a more generic race? Excepting maybe dwarves and elves...

And Anomen... when he told me about the time he drove a spear through the neck of a Wyvern, I wanted to drive HIM up the ASS of one....

Jaheira sometimes annoys me, and then I snap at her to shut her up.

And for all I care the shadow druids could have kept the druid grove... I once made Cernd die there.... I laughed.

Oh and the guys that never die in the unseeing eye quest... their pessimistic attitude annoys me, just as much as Imoens optimistic attitude annoyed me in BG1

I actually sometimes hate Minsc. Especially when your rep is high enough for him to start screaming "Ahh we are all heroes, Minsc and Boo and you... Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!" I want to take that furry little *censored* and rips he *censored* head off and shove *censored* up Minscs *censored* *censored* and then cut *censored* off *censored* and feed *censored* to dogs while he *censored* is still *censored* alive!!!!

can't really point my finger at one character, although i had murderous thoughts about those characters that bioware intended to make obnoxious at one point or another.

on a side note, interesting assortment of people we have garnered over a period of a year...

I absolutely hate Imoen.

In all the times I restart my game with a new character who is not a thief, I am forced to listen to her whining and crying through the entire first dungeon. So the whole time I go through the game, in my eyes it's not to save Imoen, it's to find her and fillet her. I mean, they could have atleast made her a little less annoying than her character in the first one, but instead of having to deal with a pink, arrogant, sissy girl I have to deal with a crybaby sissy girl. I'm not sure which is worse.

Now I just want you to know I'm not saying shes a bad spellcaster, but I'm not about to sacrifice good spells for my sanity now am I?

I know some people are probably going to hate me and retort in her defense for saying all that, but, ehhh, why not. I hate her.

Jaheira. Her character is... grrr..
Then goes Aerie. Same reason. Also i don't like all this LG paladins.

One I really want to kill is Saemon.

I think this question is incomplete, but... anyway...

I dont really hate anyone in the game, but the most annoying npc of all is Anoweenie. I also dislike Saemon but he is a cheater and dont hides it anytime during the game.

As for Irenicus, I just feel a real need to destroy him, but I dont hate him, he is my fave character in all the game.

I hate Anomen. he's so stupid. and in the tempel districkt one time he attacked me! but... it was fun killing him.

Yoshimo, he is just a pain in the @$$ and even though now everytime i do BG2 i bring him along for 1 chapter just to get the huge amount of XP he is still a B1+c#

Word of advice: ass is a legit word here on GB, and fine to use. But don't use letter substitutes to get around vulgarities. Buck, the site owner, has a low tolerance for that, and has banned people for it. You can read the forum rules, here. Carry on.

I so have to vent.

In descending order of severity:

HATE: Nalia - her personality is way overdone; ALL good characters would want to help the poor. It's inherent to the alignment. Get over it, you talk about it too much. Shut up.
Gromnir - Runner up for the most annoying voice/dialogue ever. My character is a fighter/mage/thief and seeing his ugly portrait still was sufficient to send me into a berserker rage.
Melissan - Wow. Absolutley the most annoying voice ever. Her portrait is almost as bad as Gromnir.. and Sendai.. and Abazigal's.. too.
Balthazar - Stupid zealot. I played a lawful good monk and he was still intent on killing me. He has every right to end his own life if that's how he feels about Bhaalspawn, but it's a clear breach in the precepts of his order to try to kill me for it.
Jaheira, Imoen, Viconia: joined Nalia in the grave. Murdering NPC's is actually rather cathartic. You should try it on Anomen, too. As a good aligned character, it's easy to assuage your morals by simply Slayer changing and then blaming it on a divine bloodlust that you can't control. Sorry Ano the Orc, couldn't help myself.
Mazzy - Would have made the list, but who the hell lets her out of jail? Sorry, you're stupid for wasting all your points on short bows, half-pint.

Love: Saemon Havarian. Funniest guy in the whole world. He epitomizes an unscrupulous rogue. He's so well done - even his pirate accent~! He doesn't really betray you if you look at it optimistically: He saves you from the pain of being betrayed by Yoshimo by poisoning your food, he takes you on a boat ride to the City of Caverns, he gives you the silver sword blade (AND a convenient excuse to murder Githyanki), he gives you an excuse to murder some stupid mercenaries, and he takes you to visit Balthazar! How can you not love him?

Irenicus. Can't believe anyone would ever post that they hate him. David Warner is the best voice actor ever. Every time I wake up in Irenicus's torture chamber and I hear him, I think of "THEIR BURPING IS RETARDING THE PROCESS!!" (Dr. Perry, David Warner, Ninja Turtles 2). How can you not love him?!??!?! Besides the fact that he's voiced by the coolest man in the world, he's also an awesome bad guy. He rapes an elven city by himself, has a vampire for a sister, and would've become a god had you not been forced to interfere. Awesome ambitions, awesome tenacity (The Abyss~), awesome portrait, awesome voice, awesome mage.
I just felt I had to defend those two. Feel free to hate Bodhi; she's an arrogant stupid wench.

Dislike - Jaheria and Nalia, sorry girls but u wine waaaaay too much! and jaherias "im the most important" attitude annoys me

Like - YOSHIMO! haha hes da bestest, he talks cool, and his attitudes cool. He also does his job pretty dang well! guys hes a bounty hunter! its his job to lure u to the bad guy, thats how he gets $$$paid$$$

Hell, you're right... That was bad. I also disliked the way they talk to your character when you address them.

Hate:

Imoen - attaches herself to you like a parasite in BG1 and you still can't lose her (doesn't help that she won't shut up during the escape at the beginning)
Jaheria - so abrasive her husband found dissection preferable
Minsc & Boo - every time he opens his mouth I want to stuff Boo down his throat

Nalia's aunt - so vile even the trolls won't eat her

Tugend - I let Mazzy out of jail. Infact she is the only NPC I make a point of taking on all my adventures (great ranged attack/tank) and giving that I'm a habitual restarter thats an awful lot of adventuring. Also the only decent thing Irenicus does is taking Imoen, apart from that strictly mediocre villain, aspiration to god hood is soooooooooooo last season

Spikey Creature - Yeah Yoshimo does his job well but in terms of actual usefullness even Cernd has him beat.

IMO, Mazzy doesn't suck at all. With Tulligan's (sp.?) Bow she eventually shoots like 5 arrows per round (possibly more, I've only had her up to 28th level), and is a deadeye with that damn thing. I run her around with Boot of Speed, all the while peppering folks with arrows. Another great tactic with her was to attack with the short sword that entangles, and then just back up and let 'em fly.

Other...

I hate Minsc's Boo.
Because it fill a quick bar, and it cann't use in anywhere.

As I recall, someone once found a way to activate Boo as a separate party NPC. Its stats were extaordinarily high. Can't remember who it was, though, and the whole thing may have been deliberate nonsense.

@fABLE, i KNOW WITH SHADOWkEEPER you can get his CLUACode and bring him in. Like a summoning. He attacts the nearest enemy for like 25 a shot. He can't jump into your inventory or go with you if you leave the screen.
