This one isnt very hard without celerity, just run back & forth ignoring zombies that are far away from the gates. Kill them later when they get near.
(Don't get bitten by them, that'll waste time alot)
Reward is 1+ to firearms or ammo.

I need some help with the other side of this quest. I pay the hooker, lead her back to the wall, but after 5 tries, she does not follow me thru the wall. What is going wrong here?

just keep going to the hut and she will magically appear when you start the conversation to complete the quest

All you need to do is to look for the barrel near the entrance\exit (that depends from the point of view
![Roll Eyes ](./images/smilies/)
), take it, and place it between the two graves near the gate...
It is quite difficult to verbally explain the right position ...
that's why I have attached a pair of screenshots!
In this way 3/4 of the zombies won't be able to reach the gate and you can take your time !!
Hope that helped!
What's the other alternative besides killing zombies?/QUOTE]
1) Kill Zombies
2) Find a prostitute
3) Have sex with Romero (female)
You can also kinda cheat the quest by going down behind the ginger swan mausoleum after the timer starts. Aparently you're far enough away from the gates that the zombies that would go for it never spawn. I discovered this accidently, because during the lull the first couple of minutes my first time through, I went down to her tomb for the tape and ended up lasting almost to the end. Then I failed it horribly the next half dozen times I tried to win it straight. So I came up with and succesfully tested my hide-in-the-corner tactic. Cheap, but effective.
Hide behind the mausoleum? I tried it, and for about a minute I remained undetected, then I was auto-detected again (probably because some undead spawned nearby). So at the end I failed the quest as the zombies kept spawning.
Can you show me a screenie of exactly where you hide? Can anyone show me? I'm playing a nossie right now and even with melee 5 and a fireaxe I can't stop the zombies. I've managed this quest before, once with a malkavian with sheer luck, and once by using a toreador with celerity 4. I can probably do it still after 20-30 retries and alot of luck, but quite frankly, it's boring. I can't get a hooker since I'm a nosferatu, and I really want that free firearms point. Can anyone help me?
Even a cheatcode to auto-succeed this quest is nice, as it bugs the hell out of me. This quest is even harder than the werewolf quest.

Sure if you don't mind using codes you can type, noclip
as soon as Romero leaves, then float directly up above the house.
Position yourself so you can see the front and back gates bring lots of ammo.
I would use the handgun, rifle takes to long to aim, only shoot the ones moving for the gates.
Just keep your eye on the timer and when you get to about 10 sec float to the roof and type, noclip
again and just stand on the roof for the last 5 sec.
He offers your training or ammo, plus the experience and maybe masquarade point, he trains your up 3rd level Firearm.

TY if all else fail I will stoop to using the noclip. I know I should probably just accept a botched quest, but having it in my journal will annoy me to no end.

Argh! U tried using noclip but when I close the console again the game is frozen and I can only move the mouse pointer, not the crosshair. I can't get back into the game after using the console. Why? Any fix?

I used the console just a few times cause i don't like to cheat but I had the same problem... i discovered you can avoid it by using the console (at least the first time of each play) in the main menĂ¹ (then press Esc insted of \ or tilde to return to the game). It worked for me.
The zombies I can kill. I can't run the distance in time - that's the problem.
I know, without the obstacle trick i managed to complete succesfully the quest twice (with celerity lv5 the 1st time and the 2nd i don't know how playing as tremere ... perhaps thanks to purge and trance)
If a barrel isn't enough, there's another one just next to the first! with it you should be able to put up a bigger barricade !

OK TY I will try to use console in the game menu and then hit esc again.
As for the barrel trick... I tried it, placed the barrel between the same tombstones as the pic showed, yet the zombies just pushed it away, and some spawned right next to the gate anyway. So I still have to be 2 places at once. I kill some very close to the gate, run to the other gate and there is already 1 or two zombies hacking at the gate, kill them, run back and right before I get there 3-4 zombies breaks the gate.

The Balance, thanks a bunch for your tip it worked perfectly. I still had to try 3 times before beating the zombies even with noclip, but it helped alot and showed me which zombies I had to kill first before going back to the other gate.
By god that quest was hard!
I increased my firearms skill to 3 as I talked to Romero afterwards, and still got the training
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)
So now I'm at firearms 4 and ranged 8

i failed this quest about 10 times with the tremere since i thought the zombies were considered supernatural creatures , and thus they weren`t affected by trance or purge ( in the end i chose the other path and i brought him a whore )
after i completed the game with the tremere i was thinking to switch to a melee char so i went gangrel... with protean 3 and fortitude 3 i managed to do this without reading any forums so i didn`t knew about the barrels ( and i also didn`t use any cheats ) the way i did it was : i stayed at the main gate for quite awhile ( dunno the exact amount of time ) and then got back to the back gate and ripped the zombies that were attacking the gate and those that were spwning nearby apart , next i went to the front gate ( i was at only 1 minute left ) and slash`n`diced all the zombies there with my sharp claws
dunno if it helps any1 ( i had a bit of luck too probably ) but this is how i idid it and i did it on my first try
*edit* i did this quest with the nosferatu too i used fireaxe+potence at first but i was getting overwhelmed so i quickly switched to colt anaconda and a little later to shotgun ; i did the same thing as i did with the gangrel only i used ranged weapons and i tried to get a good vintage(sp?) point so i was standing on the tombstones mostly and blasting at the zombies... also if any1 is wondering my firearms skill with the nos was 7 and i had maximum accuracy with the colt (only headshots and i moved pretty quick too

When I do the quest...
...I go to the far lower corner of the cemetary (behind the mausoleum) and just wait until there's a little over a minute left on the timer, then do blood buff and boogie on up to the nearest gate and start chopping away. While you wait, you may have to deal with one zombie but that's it in my experience. Stay near the middle gate chopping things until the timer's out and Romero shows up.

I'm just speculating, but I think Wesp changed some things in his patches to help make the Zombie Shooter quest possible to win (just guessing like I said). My experience is with the "other" patch, and it just seems impossible w/o cheating.

It wasn't me but someone else helping me with my patch at the time. I think he slightly delayed the respawning of some of the zombies to make the quest possible...

I was just pondering, as I'm still having issues, could their spawn rate be effected by stronger computers having a farther draw distance? Being able to render the whole graveyard or keeping more of it in memory to allow the event to progress quicker than intended? I don't pretend to know anything about programming but I was curious, as I'm still failing even at hiding behind the mausoleum.

I don't think this should be the case. But I made the gates a bit stronger in the plus version of the Unofficial Patch!
