Hi! I need help. I passed this Leopold bug by using the way of the console, you mentioned. BUT, when I arrive to the Venture tower, I can't move. I tried to use my fists, attack, use disciplines, etc., but nothing happened. I'm just standing in that place, and nothing happens.

What is the solution for this?

Please help me, because I'm start to fed up with this fu*in bug...

Didn't want to make a new post for this but:

I used the trick described in here to get past the Leopold problem, continued playing and then ran into another bug that I cannot pass: The cab in the first town Jack tells you to get to.

As soon as I try and interact with the cabby the game goes pop - any way to fix this, cause I REALLY wanna continue playing

I think this problem is unpreceded.
The common solution for this kind of problem is reloading an older safe.
There is no guarantee that this will work, but since this bug doesn't happen
all the time (like the Leopold one) you have good chance that it will work.

Have you tried moving closer to the boat before teleporting?
If moving closer doesn't do the trick you could try this unofficial patch:

If you want to use the patch you need to reload a safegame before you entered
the area with the boat after applying it. Even then it is not guaranteed to work.

Edit: Just thought of another option. This one is preferable to using the unofficial patch:

1.Load the safegame, where you are stuck and unable to move.
2.Now press ESC
3.open the console
4.enter noclip and press enter
5. return to the game
Can you move now?
If so move a bit into the air (not too much) and to an then enter noclip again.

This is not guaranteed to work either, but at least your game files are unaffected.

Hi! I have the solution now.

I tried to load an earlier save game in the Socienty of Leopold, and used the "console bug fix", and it worked. I find out, that the problem (can't move) was because I use the console when my character stood in the boat. If you use it earlier, you can move after the game load the new map.

Im sorry this may be a stupid question but i have same problem it crashes but how do i get the console up?? where is the key..i cant bring that up...ughhh i use a portuguese keyboard but can put it has Englush ...can u tell me cause i cant find it lol

For me it's on the left side of the "1" button and above "TAB"

Also, did you edit the game shortcut to enable the console? If so, and you still can't get it up I guess you're stuck with trying all the keyboard keys....

Ok there is the deal...when i open the shortcut and click properties the target is..."D:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe"...well after i type ..."D:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire.exe" -console ..i click on shortcut to start the game and the console will apear on the main menu..so i close it and load the previous saved game ..when i get in the boat i hit escape and type whut u say but it says "save johansen" is not defined and same for the landmark think...whut im i doing wrong???plzz can someone help me i would like to finish the game ..and i typed it 3 or 4 times already...savejohansen()then enter..then i type the other also then enter...i close it in the x and nuthing and i already did it in the room where johansen is and in the boat..cant figure it out...will they ever get a freaking patch for this ...gosh play for years and this is ridiculous but ty for your help aniway i guess i will uninstall this and remeber not to buy games from them next time lol...geshhh...never saw so many bugs in a game and they dont came whit a greaking patch...ridiculous ty all

I can tell you are frustrated, but don't uninstall yet. Would be wasting your money... .... there is much more entertainment in this game. Trust me
Make sure you get the following things right:
Get near the boat, but not on the boat.
For instance you could walk right up to the boat on the pier, but do not leave the pier.
And as OuterParadise has already pointed out, make sure you type exactly what was written in the second post.
The console is case sensitive.

I had this bug happen to me last night. When it crashed, I went "Ah, nostrils, I'm off to bed!" so I'm trying the walkaround tonight.

I just can't believe that Troika or Activision would release a game with this actual bug in it. I'm sure that all of us here are not using the same video card/set up, and the bug is a sev 1 game killer.

As a professional tester, this just dumbfounds me.

If you can't move/attack when you get back into city (after using 'changelevel2 la_hub_1 taxi_landmark'), just drop anything from inventory and grab it back. It works fine.

i have this goddamn bug that i am unable to get rid of...
well, after you do the society of leopold quest and jump on the boat/use console you will be moved next to ventrue tower near some derbis, ok,worked fine, no bug yet(because i have the 1.1patch hehe) than i went up to the tower... and another game-dalying bug came to life.... i am unable to speak to LaCroix... i`ve read the walkthrough and it says everywhere you should speak with him, but i am missing that 'Mouth' icon on him
If i speak to that werewolf dude, the conversation looks like i`ve already talked with LaCroix, but i havent and don`t have the quest for my next mission...
Tried 500x rescuing/leaving Johansen, tried leaving normally/abnormally the leopald scenario... dunno what to do... any ideas?

This is a new bug. It seems like you can go on ,tough. You would only miss the Lacroix dialouge, which sucks if you play it for the first time.
Maybe you should remove the patch and try to get over that bug with the console. Even if it is messy, nobody seemed to have that bug.

i guess that`s the only thing to do if i want to continue playing... :/ .... jesus... why did they released such a beta version of a game without any optimisation..
