All right. What is this "crypt" horror, then?
I think the poster may have been mistaken; there is no creature in IWD2 with crypt as part of it's name, and nothing with horror in it's name that sounds similar. Unless they were playing a non-English version of the game with a different translation of creature names.

Hook horrors aren't woodlike either, I am pretty sure they are meant to be almost like a cross between reptiles and insects.

How can you be sure? Do you have any proof?

Yes i admit people might get wrong idea... But i will try explain it as good as i can... since drizzt and his friends were fightning.. drizzt swords were useless.. but axes were quite good in matter of killing those.. i am not sure but there was small description of them being/having wood like skill...

as said in my first post "crypt horror" is only the translated name so I have no idea how they are called in the english version!

btw. they look like a skeleton with a black helmet and a grey/green cloak...

...and you will meet some at the lower battle square ranks!

They might be what in the english version are called "Cold bones".
They look/are kind of small skeletons, you can find them in the lower lev. of BS and in field of slaughter, I seem to remember they have helmet and a cloak.

.

ok had a closer look...

in the GER version they are called "Grab Gruft-Schrecken" what you could translate as: "tomb crypt-horror" what should also sound roughly as stupid as the GER name! ;)

and they are definetly not the "cold bones" you find on the fields nor "hook horrors" you find at the underdark passage...

they look like a skeleton wearing a grey/brown/green(?) barbarian/hide armor, hide boots, a black helmet and a shield

and I only found them on the lower battle square levels so far!

and my level 15 cleric summons them and Mummy Kings!

Well there is one list..

http://www.planetbaldursgate.com/iwd2/e ... ters/list/

But as for Silver dragon..

Are you sure those aint dread warriors?

Could you take screen shot and post it here?

You could easily create your own gallery in here.. and then post link for that screen shot..

.

no - not a dread warrior

also didn't find anything in that list that would fit..

AFAIR the only time I encountered one was in the BS (first few ranks) or through summoning...

not sure if there was one at kulahars pass or the graveyard

...so if you have a version with capped summoning you mignt never have encountered one!

btw. don't have any idea how to make a screenshot nor how to post it !

barrow wights

lol i registered just to help your intrepid bunch out .. they are "Barrow Wights"
They got black hats and these cloak things.. the hats almost look like the beach bum kind :P except they are black.. i *think* these are the guys because they appear in the low level bs.. i remember them because they seemed to swicth the ability to block certain damages half way thru a fight ..IE: my fighter4/barb8(x) would clobber him for a while with a great sword then it would stop hitting ..I switch to the firestar +1 and it starts hitting again.. i am guessing of course these are what you are talking about.. but i *had* to say this because no one else was mentioning them

Well.. those can be found in kuldahar valley... but as for that green cape if that monster is same wich most of us here have talk about.. so that green cape must be green shirt.. atleast in my eyes it looks like shirt more than cape.

...several years later...

turns out what is happening is that somebody modified the wizard spell for animate dead (for one of the popular fixes/mods), and that is overriding the version for the priest.

don't ask me why, but it is.

anyway, the way to fix it is simply to add the extra levels of summons that are in the priest spell to the wizard version.

it might also work to just delete the spell:

SpWi501.spl

from your override folder

... yes, just tested and simply removing the spell i listed from your override directory will fix the problem.

for anybody that decided to go back and play this again, like I did...

enjoy.
