Cell phone stupid questions hmm...the second month I had the cell phone and number I have now, I got three calls in two days with the strangest question. All three, three different people and numbers, asked "Wheres my daughter?". All three were wrong numbers, but man, it put me in a really odd and frightened place until that got straightened out that it was a wrong number and I wasn't losing it.
"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"

stupid questions there be not!

the person may be stupid for asking the question, but when the question is taken out of context the question itself is quite exceptable, eg. When will school finish is a valid question, for the person may need to know how much longer, and if its the first day at that school of course he wont know, however if that person has been at school for many yrs,

------asking the question is stupid not the question itself! -----

and some people are just not creative enough, whos to say for some reason school will finish 5 hrs later?, anything could happen, i truely belive there could be a goblin who starts bush fires, or cows might talk, they just dont like humas to know . . .

---there are no stupid questions just creative ones-----

-If bugs bunny can run around naked or in womans clothing why cant I?

Questions that answer themselves or defeat the purpose of asking them are stupid.

"Do I have to tell you there are six zeros before my account number?"

"Can I stop holding my breath now?"

I love this stuff. :D

Cody, please read The Forum Rules.

Particularly this one:
7) Again, please refrain from swearing, trying to avoid the filter i.e. “!” for “i” etc. won’t be tolerated. The only exception to this is a genuine word such as the film director Alfred Hitchc0ck, etc.

Thanks. :)

I wanna hear this question that has converted the non-believer. I think we'd all like you to share with the class.

Lol. Dumb question in my eyes but i doubt most of you will get it but here goes.

A Paki website where this teen age girl posts that she was at some mutaul South Asian dinner which later converted to a dance. As she is a fundo (my word) she left after 10 minutes (ie 10 after dinner was over). Now she wanted people to tell her on the paki site that did she break any Islamic rules.

I was just aghast. Seems not only did she ask a stupid question, but she has no common sense and is a killljoy.

You went out to a college dinner. A party started you left. Why in hell will god punish you for that. He may punish you for being a 70 year old woman in your teens but not for having too much fun.

Ok, 2 people are driving in a car on a road trip, one of them hears a fart noise and begins to smell a very smelly smell. So he asks the other person: "did you just fart?"

What if it's the car or something else that he didn't think of... ;)

No, that's a very good question. This thread has turned from a philosophical thread, regarding whetever there are any such thing as "a stupid question", to a thread where everyone posts their views, and quote on what a stupid question is. But few have really given an answer (read: Stated their opinion) other than "yes" or "no".

In my book, there are no stupid questions, just annoying questions. I'm thinking of questions that has been answered ahead of time, perhaps even minutes, or seconds ago. And questions that are completely out of context. These questions witnesses lack of attention, but are not stupid, the person who asks them are not stupid, or stupified in any way.

While I completely agree that asking for oral stimulation on the first date, is not very prudent, it can actually work. I my self would never have done it, no less dare to ask that question. But for people who do, they will probably be turned down in 99% of the cases, but they may also not be turned down. Asking that question in particiular may be viewed upon as stupid to many, and I am tempted to say so my self, but I would rather say that it's an imprudent question, since there is no 100% change that the question to this is "no", I would not call it a stupid question. The person asking that question could indeed be pretty smart.

For most part I agree with you, I have some students right now for instance who ask a million of questions every 5 minutes or so, I hardly have time to work, they interrupt me all the time and ask for explanations and support which I have already given 3 times before. I become very annoyed when I have taken the time to sit down 2 hours and give an instruction for some routine lab procedure, and then the next day the student ask me how to do it and wants me to show again! Take notes, you irritating @#*&%! But I don't view this a stupid in any way.

What I do view as stupid questions though, is questions that propose discriminative views. One example from a forum where I used to post some years ago was an Amercian guy who held very prejudiced and discriminative views on muslims and arab people in general. He refered to muslims and arabs as "towel heads" at several occations, and other posters critisised this as cultural racist and derogatory. Then came the 9/11 WTC attack, and the guy asks "Is is ok to call them towel heads now?". And yes, he was serious, not trolling. His reasoning went like "now when the they have attacked us, it must be ok to call them derogatory names". This guy didn't understand neither the concept of "generalisation" nor "discrimination".
While I completely agree that asking for oral stimulation on the first date, is not very prudent, it can actually work.
I don't see anything stupid with asking for oral sex regardless if it's the first date or not - if it feels right for the other person, s/he will enjoy giving it. Almost all women expect oral sex from the man, so why shouldn't the guy ask for it if he wants it?

Actually, somewhat off topic, I know many people who refuse to drop these days. Not so much of not wanting to provide pleasure for their girlfriend, but for the fact, for them, it seems to go unappreciated. What I mean by that, they've told that they receive no direction, confirmation of pleasure, damning of pleasure, or what not. For them, it's become a hassle. As such, they've adopted the philosophy of not asking them to drop, but don't expect him to drop. Interesting idea, IMHO, though not sure how fair it is.
