Yep. True that, fellow member. True that.
So, what would you advise for a party size for my Drow Pally/Wiz? 3 members, maybe 4? Oh wait, I actually had a thread in this forum about a year ago w/ a party of multi-class combos...
(Somewhat back-on-topic) What Brynn's looking at for a party, though, I'd love to know.
Yes i admit that Brynn only as far as i know wants wizard build. It would be easier to post builds. So here is one. Note that i haven't tried this one but it should be fine monk10/roque10/wizard10. Perhaps It might be the best build ever.
As for side note, yes i would say that four is nice number.
Best build: for Wizard

Agree with Silverdragon, paldin mix well with sorc. because you have maching main stat.; I think that rogue is the better matching class for the wiz., so the best build will come out from wiz. + levels of rogue + eventually other levels from other classes (depending the role).
This IMO for the best build, other built are obviously possible but are not the BEST in term of effectivness.

For me, Wizard has to be a Male Drow b/c of favored class, increase to dex & int and saves. That being said, the next thing you look at is what stats you need. A build doesn't work if you require maximum of too many stats. I prefer to try and keep max stats to like 3, beyond that I think it gets a little absurd and difficult. Next you got to look at what other classes need. In the case of Wizard, a perfect match is Rogue (Dex & Int). You can't go wrong with a Rogue/Wizard combo. In addition, since it is preferred that your Wizard not carry shields or armor due to casting failure, I would like to add Ranger levels for dualing short/long swords. So as I base, I would look at something like this:
Male Drow Rogue 1/Ranger 1/Wizard X 14 20 15 20 6 5
Next, I'd like to add some Fighter levels. I don't want him to be afraid of melee combat. With his natural spell resistance, you can have him stroll into battle, get surrounded and drop some fireballs. Now we are looking at something like this:
Male Drow Rogue 3/Ranger 3/Fighter 4/Wizard 20 14 20 15 20 6 5
Rogue 3 - 2D6 sneak attack, Evasion and Uncanny Dodge.
Ranger 3 - Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting feats, 1 favored enemy.
Fighter 4 - Weapon Specialization ability & 2 extra feats.
Wizard 20 - 4 level 7 spells, 3 level 8 & 9 spells (not including bonus spells from int), 5 extra feats.
Drow - +2 racial bonus to saves against Enchantment magic, +2 racial bonus on Will saves against spells and spell-like abilities, +2 to Search checks, Spell resistance of 11+ character level, Immunity to Sleep magic, Faerie Fire 3/day, Darkvision.
I think this might have to be my solo build or maybe I'll pair him up with a Drow Cleric, kind of like a brother and sister team.

...just would take 3 barb instead of 3 ranger level - with 4 fighter & 20 wiz level you have more then enough feats to take the ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting feats!
The speed bonus of the barb (and rage if needed) is worth more then 2 extra feats for this build IMHO!
...and for what 20 INT ? I like to specialize this one as back-up caster for no-saving throw spells only - hey this is one of the best melee-builds - no need to cast fireballs - just a little malison (no save) to clear the path for the WoB of the sorc (with maxed CHA)!
max STR!
...19 INT when you get level 9 spells in enough!
...also 4 WIS isn't a problem - hey it's a drow (SR&boni) with 20 wiz levels - good enough for will-saves!
