Maybe he was just a guy getting killed by being thrown off the roof. Does it really have to make sense? I mean come on! It's senseless violence!

Yeah, but this whole discussion is just like saying, "Let's find out who the Tomb of the Nameless Soldier is dedicated to!" There is no answer. It is most obviously Bioware added that in so it would pique the interest of gamers into the game.

Well then why don't we continue guessing if we wish to. I would guess that the tomb of the nameless soldier is dedicated to all soldiers who died without proper recognition. You know the common soldier and all that...

Dave Gaider said they were "bad guys". That didn't go down well with the people asking the question, so he was pushed for more. He sorta admitted that they were the five Bhaalspawn from ToB. Since ToB's story wasn't exactly set in stone at that time, they've taken some liberties with this and you'll have to use your imagination about why all five look so human (Polymorph was suggested).

So taking that to be the case with the people in the end of shadows of Amn was suppose to represent the bhaalspawns in tob; would it not be probable to say the intro with the guy being thrown off the roof representing a possible future for the protaganist if they don't leave candlekeep and go exploring before saverok arrives?
Dreams are prevalent in baldurs gate 1 too, the protaganist gains their special powers after special dreams in that game.

No. I'm going to repeat myself one final time. They DO NOT render the protagonist in ANY of the movie sequences. If I'm playing a female halfling thief, then clearly the opening movie is not a dream about what may happen to my character. Do you understand what I'm telling you here? The guy who gets thrown off the roof is obviously a male human fighter. He cannot represent the protagonist in every single game of Baldur's Gate.

As to who he is, I agree that it's entirely unimportant. He is almost certainly a bhaalspawn, but you have to realize that there are scores of bhaalspawn in the world. Knowing who he is and where he came from will have absolutely no affect on the game due to the fact that your protagonist (Who is never displayed in any of the movies) didn't know him.

the movie could have shown the protagonist if the movie played after the creation, that way it could have had the differences of a male or female elf or human but it didn;t that would have been cool to see it like that though

This 'There are others' indicates one simple truth. He is being hunted down (just like in ToB) by Sarevok to gain Bhalls powers.

"I will be the last, and you will go first"

Catch my drift?
Be the last of what?? Is it the end of the world or something? He must be part of an individual group of somesorts to be the 'last'.

Now that you mention it, I seem to recollect him saying that to! He must be offering to show Sarevok where the other children of Bhaal can be found; they are the "individual group" as you put it. The last one of them left alive will inherit Bhaal's power.
