Resurrecting Sarevok in T.O.B.
Er, this ain't Star Wars. There'll be no "turning" Sarevok to the side of good. He's irredeemable. If BG1 didn't do enough to reinforce that aspect of his character, your encounter with him when he's in Hell but -still- a malicious ******* should drive the point home.
As to the supposed person who will be pissed at you for bringing Sarevok back, my money's on Elminster. Wasn't he in one of the screenshots?

yea, you are prolly right- It's prolly Elminster- everytime someone farts crosswise in the Forgotten Realms, Elminster or Drizzt has to show up- too be honest, I'm sick of both of them. I had all sorts of gag reflexes during Drizzt's BG2 cameo.
An avenging ghost of Gorion would be much cooler! Or maybe Belt or Eltan "this guy messed up our city, what do you think you are doing?"
Having one of Sav's girlfriends come back would be cool too.

"Those are brave men out there, let's go kill them"
God, I couldn't agree with you more. The Forgotten Realms campaign setting would be so much better if not for the likes of Elminster and Drizzt. And of course the gods could be considerably more... -godlike- and quit acting like mortals all the time.Originally posted by Sloanzilla:

Thanks for the info fable. But I'm curious, does the father you refer to mean Bhaal or Rieltar? Sarevok always seemed to hold Bhaal in greater respect then his stepfather but swearing by the Lord of Murder seems a bit strange (but since we’re resurrecting a dead Bhaalspawn I guess strange goes with the territory). It's nice that Sarevok is still thinking about his mother, since she appeared to have a big effect on him and his dreams (see his journal in BG1).Originally posted by fable:

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Saverok's? i mean i'm a chaotic good fighter right now but probably going to play BG2 again with an undead hunter and move him to ToB. I think Saverok is gonna be evil no matter what but it i'm chaotic good will he be chaotic evil? same thing with neutral good,and lawful good?

Nikolai, he doesn't change because of you. Alignments in party NPCs only change because of scripted quests, like that involving Anonmen.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
@fable: Interesting info, thanks.
So big brother wants to be our groupie? Heh. I think I need to start a Neutral character so I can see the sparks fly between him and the other party members. It's almost a pity I cannot take him along with my NG primary character, who hates his guts with a passion ...
@Sloanzilla & Metatron: Here's another player who's getting sick of Elminster and Drizzt, and too-human deities. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
@Metatron: Just curious ... did you get your nick from the (fabulous) novel Good Omens?

"Mmm? What's this? You gots hammer? Bhaal once drop hammer on big godly toe. Jump around and swear for days, he did. Kicked poor me all the way to Baator. Very bad week, that."

Him: "Ho there wanderer..."
Me: "This better be worth it!"
It wasn't.
Tried to kick his ass. He teleported away before I could do some damage...
Ah well, maybe I'll get another chance in ToB.

Glory- I don't care. My Lawful Good Paladin kicks at least as much ass as Sarevok. More, in fact, since Paladins always have badass stats to start with and I played through BG1 to get the Tomes. I totally waled on Sarevok in Hell using just my paladin, I really don't think I need him. The only reason I would take him would be if I had a really fighter-poor party and I wanted to see what kind of interaction he would bring with him. And possibly for a chance to mop the floor with Elminster's wrinkled old wizard butt.
Nightfire- Nope, I got it from christian/judeo mythology. But Good Omens is on my reading list.
