Right. but I've already got him at level, 5/6, I think.
The question is.... shall I be able to get good enough items to upgrade T3 in computer without having to raise my natural rank in the skill above 1?

Since most stuff are random, it sounds very masochistic to do so
. Heck, with 20 intelligence T3 gets more skill points than he has skills to spend it on. So getting his intelligence to 18 is enough for the most part. Of course, that precludes you from getting the final upgrade that boosts PC's wisdom.

Oh, it shouldn't be too much of a problem... you don't need skills any higher than 32 in total, so once you're lvl 25 you can stop putting points in some of the skills to max out the important ones. (mostly repair and comp)

This is getting tough for me now.
I've just finnished taris and am about to enter my ship to fly off. And when I try to upgrade T3 with a computer skill of 6 total, I can't even get one update on him.
So, I suppose that I should just wait for better, computer boosting equipment to upgrade T3 when my computer skill is high enough.
BTW, I forgot, how much computer skill will I need in total to get all of his upgrades?
If anyone knows...

I believe a grand total (including upgrades) of 16 should be enough.

Great.
And forrr repair?

Same, I think. Though I would recommend just taking both, it's useful for all kinds of things for your main character, mainly not having to rely on partymembers.

Aha, ok great.
I also found that I can get at least +16 on computing and repair from items alone.
I suppose that Master Valour stacks with the other bonuses when upgrading T3?

It does, I believe. So that's a good thing. Also take a skills implant of some sort and there's probably some good gloves and belts out there. (Exchange utility belt?)

Yeah.
Now onto the waiting and treasure hunting, to actually find the right equipment.
But what would shorten my task would be if I started putting points into repiar.
But then my persuade skill would fall behind. hmmm...
...tell me, what is, approximately the amount of persuade one should have to be able to persuade everyone who is persuadable?
If you know...of course.
