And as for who is better, I guess it comes down to your playing style, and what I meant was Anomen was better than Jaheria, not than someone with whirlwind, because as you say that is awesome, though I didn't think druids could, can they?
well, Jaheira can because she is a fighter/druid, so when she starts getting HLAs she can take whirlwinds and other fighter abilities, as well as druid ones. This is GREAT because she can take Summon Deva or Summon Elemental and then Greater Elemental, and then she can take whirlwinds when you run out of cleric stuff. With pure clerics they run out of good stuff to take rather quickly and they only get so many level 7 slots no matter what, but you can never have too many whirlwinds.

when I was mentioning weapons for Anomen that make him better, I forgot Flail of Ages, he can be tough with it and Jaheira cannot use it.
Each to his own.
but of course! I'm playing a game with Viconia now, but I shadowkept her over to Cleric/Mage to make her the evil Aerie.

To quote UU:
ever thought of jaheira as a tank?

in a stand up, knock down fight, a tob jaheira can beat minsc, keldorn, saravok and korgan AT THE SAME TIME!!!

regeneration, aura of flaming death, iron skin, globe of blades, and she slices thru anyone...

----+----

ironskin, improved haste (via a mage or item), globe of blades, blade barrier, and decent thaco with strength belt...dual wield scimatars, or staff...

:p

i don't use real traditional tanks, ever...stoneskin/ironskin is better than low ac, and jaheira is superb if you set up her protections before battle...also, you can stack armor of faith and hardiness... :p
Yes, Jaheira is definitely one of the best and strongest NPC's out there.

[QUOTE=Adahn]But personally, I found the romance extremely rewarding, after reading all the Baldur's Gate books, I just needed Jaheira like air, I dreamt of her and needed to know what it would have been to love her.[QUOTE]

Your PC isn't a fighter/berserker named Abdel perchance, is he?

Oh, and Jaheira is definately a good NPC overall. She can fill several voids. She's not the best cleric type and not the best fighter type, but she's not supposed to be. She's a well rounded mixture of the two that can heal herself and others and deal out some serious damage when well equiped. She sort of a Jack-of-all-trades except she's a girl, and I don't know the female version of Jack.

See now, I would have said you had great insight, -had I not acctually said I read all the books- so you don't have great insight, and even if you did, you'll be disapointed to know that no, acctually my character was a mage, and I called him Aramil. And he was an elf.

So to answer a question long overdue...
When you are summoned to the Harper Hold to listen to the over-ambitious Galvarey...and to also end his aspiring life...whether Jaheira leaves your party or decides to fight by your side is dependant upon your reputation NOT your alignment. You can be evil but with a popular reputation you can still have Jaheira by your side.At least it was for me...
So general advice to evil people who want to keep jaheira in their party...do a goody-goody deed from time to time.Though not too often...
