3rd: I then used a list of all items in the game from this forum and looked
up the Hex value for that sword by looking until I found the item in the
list with the exact same name and it will give you the Hex Value for that
junk sword

I am allready thankfull to you, but it would be close to worship :p if in addition you could post a link to where this list is, I have no idea where you found it. Thank you in advance Oh Wise One ! ;)

Item List....almost done

Hi Caradoc, thanks for the response.

I am currently finishing an 'Item List' that I have edited. I had to also
shrink it quite abit in size so that I can upload it. The items are listed
by hex value and I got it to three columns per page which works much
better for printing and viewing. I will probably post it sometime today.
The form is in Microsoft Word and the size is about 47KB.

I am also working on another 'Item List' but this one is sorted by 'Item
Name' which also comes in quite handy. I am working on shrinking the
file size down from 396KB to under the forum max of 100KB and am
having a little trouble getting the file size down. The document is now
running 9 pages of two columns a page and I am not sure whether three
columns a page will work with this one. I will check with the people at
GameBanshee for some possible help if I can't shrink it's size anymore.

The time is 3:04 Am CDT here in Wisconsin so look for the first 'Item
List' in at most eight hours, hopefully. That is if I don't fall asleep at my
computer again.

Dungeon Lords - Water Jumping Puzzle

To Mikesouth

Since I have had so much trouble jumping over the platforms in time, I downloaded your dledit (the #2 one) and now am wondering what to do. I am not very computer literate so I am at a loss. Could you please direct me step by step as to where to put the x,y, and z coordinates so that I can finish this game since so close to the end.
Thank you.

Hey Mammu
As another option you can send me your saved game and I will do the jumps for you and send it back. This might be a better option then messing with an editor Let me know if you’re interested by sending me a private message and I'll send you my email address. D

Yes, I would be interested in sending my saved game so you can do the jumps for me and send back the new saved game. First of all, you are going to have to tell me how to do this. As I said, I am not very computer literate and as a 62 year old Grandma I need all the help I can get. Also, how do I send you a private message since I do not understand totally how to navigate these forums (which are a great help, by the way).
Thanks.

When are the developers EVER going to stop putting stupid lame jumping puzzles in their games? Everyone hates them, no one gets off on them any more ... and they went out with Reagan presidency ...

water jumping

I tried the x,y,z, in this post, but it did not take me to the portal, the defualt ones on the link, to me over the water, but the gate disappeared before i could walk through it. Is there a x,y,z, code for the chess puzzle room that would just put me in there?

My way to tackle this room goes like this:

BEFORE I ever enter the room with the acid basin, I retrieve the shadow crystal from the statue in the other room. In Lord Kingston's room, in front of the shadow door leading to the room with the basin, I temporarily put the Crystal of Time on a hotkey. I then save the game. Facing the shadow door, I activate the Crystal of Time, go through and turn right immediately, towards the right corner, where I wait.

See attached picture.

As soon as the furthest platform starts to go down, I jump forward blindly, towards and onto the first platform, turn, run forward to the corner of the platform facing the next, and from the very corner I then jump onto the next at precise angles, etc. without any pause or idling. I do as the walkthrough suggests, only with the Crystal of Time active. Without the crystal, my characters turn too far / too quickly to make the precise turns required. After the initial wait, there is only jump - turn - jump until I'm through the door at the far end. No time to wait for a platform to become visible, no time to stop and check the crates in the room.

Notes:

- I'm well past my thirties
- I use W,A,S,D to move and E to jump
- my mouse is very sensitive, I hardly have to move it to make the character turn
- this is the only spot in the game (v1.4) where I use the Crystal of Time
- With most characters, I've made it on the first go.
