I steal none of her stuff, since I sell things to her too.

There are few better ways to earn money than alchemy and soultrap.

If I'm feeling cash thirsty at the beginning of a game, I do several things.
I open every crate etc. in Balmora and grab all items of value. For example, high end potions and weapons. I join the mage's guild and grab the stuff in the supply chests (there is a supply chest in every mage guild except Caldera), then I head over to Creeper in Caldera. After unloading all my potions, enchanted throwing stars etc. , I rest 24 hours, run upstairs and loot the armor in one of the crates near the orc up there, which I again sell to Creeper. There are also various weapons and armor parts in the Caldera guard towers that can be easily stolen.
While you are in the Caldera mage's guild, be sure to head up the tower in there... a Master's alchemy set lies totally unguarded and ripe for the taking.

Doing all of this can net you about 7 K (or more) right at the beginning of the game.

Following this I fill soul gems and make/sell potions.

Though be warned, a fair amount of cash right off the bat can really unbalance the game. I only try to acquire a whole pile early on if I want to train up immediately in order to do any high level quest mods I have installed.

If you have the tribunal expansion and you can kill a high ordinator, then there is a really easy and much faster way to get lots of money than the talking mudcrab or creap. First you have to go to the great bazarr and then to the armory. If you are like me, the the high ordinators will be coming after you and you cant mess around with them. They can drain your strengeth until you are overencumbered and then 3 or 4 of them surround you and kill you. The best thing to do to avoid them is to get the boots of blinding speed and just run away from them. Once you are in the armory, there will be a merchant and a high ordinator in there. Kill the high ordinator. If you haven't worn any ordinator armor yet, then taunt him until he attacks you. Once the high ordinator is dead, you can sell his armor to the merchant, who just happens to have 10,000 gold. Once you sell as much as you can, go upstairs and rest for 24 hours. Go back downstairs and get more armor from the dead high ordinator and sell it. The merchant will have his 10k gold back. Once you have sold all of the armor from the high ordinator, then dispose of his corpse, go upstairs and sleep, go back down, and there will be a new high ordinator waiting for you to kill.

Kill 5 dark brotherhood members. Shake. Take the armors to the armory. Bake. Sell. 10000 bucks. If you have marked, recall and repeat.

Or of course, you could buy several items costing close too, but less than 10000gp from the armourer, until he has enough gold to buy the whole suit, and then sell one, rest, rinse, and repeat.

if you have the tribunal expansion or GotY you can (try to) kill the high Ordinators and i've gotten around 100,000-200,000gp for one full suit.
If you are weak you can sit on the roof with about 1,000 arrows and pick em of. If your really crazy you can try to kill Almalexia and her 5 "hands" :D

By the time you have the capability to do so, you should be already swimming in money.

If you want *a lot* of gold at the beginning of the game, depending on your playing style and whether or not you like to collect items, you really don't need to kill anyone.....

* Head to Ghostgate and steal the various glass items there (your Sneak needs to be good, though you can combine it with Chameleon)

* Head to the Dren Plantation, and steal a certain pair of Daedric greaves and Ebony cuirass. (grab the Indoril Helm sitting on the same shelf while you are at it)

*Sell all/ some of the above to Creeper/Mudcrab

simply buy kwama cuttle and scales then make potions then sell

just sell 5000 gold to the creper, rest a day, repeat 100 times, then kill the creaper and he will still be carrying all the gold you ever sold him, which will be 5000*100=500,000. If you do it 200 times, thats 1,000,000!!! This trick works even better with the mud crab, hypathetically, i never tried it with him though.

Creeper actually has a 10% margin, so you can sell him 4545 of your gold for 5000 of your gold. So... you can sell everything to him (over a long period of time) - then buy it all back (at 10% discount). Then sell him your gold. Then sell him your stuff back. Repeat.

This is time consuming, so I only use it when i am bored.

Daedric ruins - grab everything nice inside then - Dremora appears - chop chop - daedra heart + expensive weapon. The fastest way to make cash is with the spells summon golden saint and soultrap and a grand soulgem/azuras star. Summon, soultrap, then just as the corpse hits the floor and you can grab the cool shield and weapon. :D

i kinda wish there was a better merchant that has a bunch of money, like 100,000 gold or not.

You can't run the mods on an Xbox :(

Another tip: Some Dwemer gear sells for good money. Try the place near Balmora.

this is probally the easiest way simply when you start get a motar and pestle and go to nalcarya of white haven the buy kwama cuttle and scales then sell them to nalcarya or if you have acess to mourhold go there ps i sold 2000 potions and i have too much money so i just go buy the most expensive items i sold keening then bought it back cause i was bored :D

I agree with Dragon wench, you could steal some glass armor at ghostgate and sell it to the Mudcrab. Also you could steal some Ordinator armor at ghostgate and at Vivec. I recommend using the Ring of Shadows(found near some water, near Gnisis, the invisible guy has it) so you wont get caught(80% chameleon).
