My fav char is Plo Koon, the jedi that dies in that ship, he is orange, he is pretty cool.

Did anyone notice the overweight Jedi in episode 3? I can recall the one that gets cut down by Palpatine like nothing. Maybe the jedi should have forbidden attachment to twinkies and galactic big macs too.

lol, I did, it was pretty funny, I was just cracking up in the theatre.

Now that I think about it, the existence of a fat jedi doesn't really make sense. I mean, don't they all have to undergo rigorous physical training? Oh well, it's just one less alien to complain about airplane seating.

Who voted for Anakin? The acting was pathetic to say the least. Some one shoot the actor before he can ruin other movies.

Not only was the acting pitiful, but so was the character. All through the movie, Anakin does stuff that he knows is seriously wrong, all to protect some bimbo politician that he knocked up. Oh, did I mention that it was based solely on a bad dream he had? Real slick dude, thankfully your son lived on to become more powerful and kick your whiny little posterior.

@CM: I believe I already posted why I liked Sidious but I'll say it again: his fighting style was rad, I guess just because I'm a fan of kendo and intend to actually get into it when I think my body is ready for it.

I agree teh story progression sucked. The build up was pathetic and the change so sudden. Anakin was a patheic and weak man with alot of power. Not Darth Vader. Certainly not the character seen in the last 3 movies.

Probably it was just chicks who thought the actor was hot voted for Anakin. Yeah, I thought Vader was a cool character. Lucas did a much better job on the first three movies as far as characters and storyline, I just can't stop wondering why the prequel trilogy ended up being rather crappy in comparison.

Hey there has been a rumor going round that thier going to make a star wars epi. 7-9 is it true, or is it just fiction?

I think it would be good if the could improve the speacil effects or epi. 4-6 so yoda doesn't look like a doll and the lightsabre fighting is better (if you compare the fight between yoda and count dooku to the first fight between vader and luke you'll se what i mean)

First off, I hope they DON'T make another episode of starwars after this. Secondly, the classic starwars is WAY better than the first three because they were brilliant. NO MORE CGI'S LUCAS . What they need to do is get the -original- star wars with nothing added to it and put it on DVD.

As far as characters, I didn't like any of the 1-3 characters other than Grievous because Grievous was cool and I mean COOL.

I know. Padme and Jar-Jar both got on my nerves, and Anakin (who was rather cute in the movies, though not as hot as Obi-wan ) just plain pissed me off in the second and third movies with his whole attitude. I admit though, Grievous was alright, though I think Obi-wan is way better than him.

From a story perspective, Anakin/Vader is the best character because he's the most compelling. Most of the other characters are at beast two-dimensional and at worst plot devices.

In the prequels, all of the characters are handicapped by George Lucas's directing. It's simply horrible. Who else could take the considerable talents of Ewan MacGregor, Liam Neeson, Hayden Christiansen, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson and squander them on wooden dialogue and poor character development? Imagine how good the prequels could have done if Lucas had handed the project over to his friends Stephen Spielberg (Indiana Jones) or Ron Howard (Willow).

In the prequels, the villians fared the worst. Darth Maul, General Grievious and Count Dooku were bad villians; that is, they were plot mechanisms not characters. They had virtually no backstory and nothing really to do other than look cool and die. Sidious and Anakin/Vader were better villians but each lacked the sort of epic evilness that the Star Wars saga deserves.

Part of my problem with Maul, Grievous and Dooku (MGD for short) is that they don't do anything evil. In Espiode IV: A New Hope (Star Wars to the non-nerds out there), the first time we see Darth Vader, we know he's bad. The second time we see Vader, he does something bad.

MGD don't do anything evil. Maul stands around and looks constipated. Grevious wheezes and has four arms. Dooku is just kind of snotty. What's the point in being a Sith Lord (or the pawn of a Sith lord in the case of Grevious) if you're not going to be evil? Eat some babies, run over old women crossing the road, blow up a planet. Something. Anything.

Within the first ten minutes of ANH, Vader had taken over Princess Leia's ship, strangled a guy because he's having a bad day and then covered the whole things up. And then when you thought things couldn't get any worse, Vader tortures his daughter (twice!), strangles a whole bunch of flunkies for no good reason, turns Han Solo into a popsicle (after torturing him, too), has his stormtroopers blow up the robot he built as a kid, gives Solo to Boba Fett (the most over-rated character in the Star Wars universe), cuts off his whiney kid's hand to teach him a lesson, and then tries to kill the same kid because his boss told him to. That's evil at its best.

Granted that Vader had three movies to reveal the deapths of his evility (is that a word? It is now), but c'mon, guys (MGD: I'm talking to you!), do something bad.

Sidious is a reasonably good villain because you always feel that he has a hand in everything, but we don't get to see enough of him. Anakin/Vader in ROTS is an OK villain, but Lucas's directing is his downfall. When I should feel dread at the evil things he is doing (like the scene where he is explaining to Padme how it felt to kill all the Tusken Raiders), instead I feel like laughing at how bad the "acting" is and how craptastic the "directing" is.

Having said all that, my favourite character from the prequel trilogy is Yoda because we finally get to see him open up a can of pint-sized Jedi Master Whoopass in all his CGI glory (and because Lucas's "directing"/obession-with-eye-candy can't screw up a virtual character).

I agree with a majority of that. MGC only served only one purpous, they don't really do anything bad beacuse they are allready bad enough in Sidious's eyes. Maul only learned how to kill qui gon, and wasn't ready for Obi Wan, GG was some dumb weezing alien robot that didn't really command/do anything, but made obi wan leave anikin for a while, CD I guess was only there beacuse he.... Oh, darn I forgot. And Bobo Fett is way to overrated. I didn't like him.. To snobby in the prequals, and almost no signifigance in the movie what so ever, but to be killed by Luke.

Boba Fett was killed by a blinded Han ("Boba Fett? Boba Fett? Where?").

A friend of mine says (rightly, I think) that the whole Star Wars universe revolves around R2-D2 and C-3PO. Everyone else is just there for kicks, but the movies are all about the droids. They are, after all, the only constants.

I guess chicks dig the Goldenrod and his stubby little friend (or something like that).
