No. If you just want to piss people off then your not EVIL, then you're just plain stupid. An EVIL character would side with the group that is the stronger and assist them at squeezing the very last drop of blood out to the bodies of their enemies and then, at a suitable moment, take control over the entire slave-running business.
If you would consider yourself chaotic neutral you may want to just to piss people off, but then again your head wouldn't be functioning properly.

As I see it Firkraag wasn't scared of the Bhaalspawn. If find it hard to imagine that a practically immortal creature such as a dragon could even comprehend the fact that a mortal could end its existence. If you were a dragon you'd probably be interested in an event such as the conflict between half-gods such as the Bhaalspawn simply because your life (lying about in a moisty dungeon or terrorizing the local peasants all day long) would become quite boring after a while.

I don't think that the dragons in bgii were really anything like the dragons that I've grown up hearing about. Dragons aren't supposed to get killed at such a rapid pace as in the Baldur's Gate-series. 3 dragons in a month? Not bloody likely. What about what the OTHER Bhaalspawn have been up to during the time you spanked these dragonbutts? Ten maybe fifteen dragons and a dozen demonprinces?!? Consider the fact that you've only been aware of your ancestry for about a year!!!
Dragons aren't supposed to be killed!

They are simply there to deter high level pc:s from getting to ****y about their newfound abilities.
Playing bgi I remember missing out a dragon. But I didn't want to kick it's butt! I wanted it there simply for the awe-instilling sensation of such a creature. In that was bgii has been quite unsatisfactory.

If Dragons were not put in for the sole purpose of Dragon slaying, then why are they so easy? Their AI is so really crappy that not even their cheesy stats can save them...
Don't get me wrong, I think it's unrealistic killing 3 dragons a year after becoming an adventurer, but fantasy games have a rep for being unrealistic, right?

Gee, and I thought they included all that dragon slaying equipment to help you SLAY DRAGONS. You know, all the weapons and armor you get that's specifically geared to SLAY DRAGONS? I thought for sure that meant the BG2 developers expected at least -some- of their players to take up the sword and SLAY SOME FREAKING DRAGONS, but I suppose I could have been mistaken.
Well, now I see the light. I'm going to take all that dragon slaying equipment and give it to Elminster or Drizzt or another more experienced adventurer. I mean, it's only been a year since I left Candlekeep, I couldn't possibly hope to kill a dragon.
I'm unsure whether this message will be seen as feisty, or crazy.

LOL! But seriously, are all those anti-Dragon goodies really the best anti-Dragon goodies? Right... And what did I mean by that? I mean, aren't you better off whacking Dragons with Crom Faeyr or Flail of the Ages than with that dragonslayer sword? I'd never touch it, personally...

@ edguy - I hear what you're saying about the dragons being disappointing. The shadow dragon kicked my butt for a while before I figured out how to play the game, but I found Firkraag to be especially easy. However, if you're disappointed by the AI used to control the dragon attacks, why not try downloading one of the improved dragon AI patches that are readily available from members here on the board. I know that Kevin Dorner's Baldurdash patches include one that makes dragons smarter in combat, and I believe KensaiRyu made a file that makes dragons an incredibly hard battle (one that might just give you a run for your money).
Good luck,

Yes I agree, it's all terribly unrealistic. What with Dragons not being real and all.

How about mowing through two dragons in Watcher's Keep alone? I had a solo Illusionist/Thief (something like level 19/24) do it with out even resting before the battles. And what is up with the Green dragon ("I guess I have to kill you...")? That thing was a joke.

Seriously though, I just can't see him in a party even if you could take him (without using Ctrl-Q...). I get the impression that he'd be one of those people that always failed the 'Works co-operatively in a group' portions of his report card in grade school. I just don't see him as a team player...</STRONG>
What does Ctrl-Q do??? On a totally uprelated topic, how do I make it so I unselect my party members???? I've tried everything but I always have one selected

One way is to summon a creature and click on that creature. I'm sure there are others of course. Why do you need to unselect your party members?

So I can Ctrl-Y some innocent bystanders

You don't need to "un-select" anyone for that. It kills the creature the pointer is over, not the selected party member (unless, of course, that's what you're aiming at

)

Getting back on topic, the ultimate evil party mentioned in the first post happens to be exactly the party that I currently have, right down to the assassin PC, and I must say, its certainly a blast.
Oh, and the real ultimate anti-dragon weapon is:
Sarevok + Vorpal Sword + Greater Whirlwind

So many chaotic characters in a group would not like travelling together. Seriously, can you just immagine the bickering? Although I wish there were a Sarevok/Viconia romance--especially if it also overlapped with the PC/Viconia romance, if any. Really, does she look like a big fan of monogamy? Maybe she would try to get your PC and Sarevok to fight over her. Classic brother vs. brother stuff. Damn, I should work for Bioware!

Isn't that a bit of heavy stereotyping? I doubt Chaotic characters are
all outspoken, uncooperative, unsociable individualists. A party of six Nalias, for example, would probably get along just fine.

the first time I played bg2 I did so with a goody allignment. I got up to Bodhi's proposition and fell in love. I dropped my belongings and imported a new main char with the proper allignment to woo bodhi. the makers of BG2 have broken my heart by not allowing bodhi to join my party. so, onto the topic, I have to say the best evil all star is bodhi. too bad you can't change the entire storyline of the game with shadowkeeper.

There is one alignment that is even more fun than being evil... Chaotic Neutral...
I have CN sorceror who is a bit insane, mad whacko etc. When a good vs evil issue appears just toss a coin to decide ho ho ho.
Another thing... I miss XZAR; MONTY AND SHAR'TEEL

From the previous posts, someone mentioned siding with Firrkragg if you are neutral . However, a neutral character is somewhat of an opportunist and if you get a chance to kill a dragon (when Firrkragg lets you go and is completely unaware of an attack) a NE character would most likely take it. Besides, you are the child of the God of . things is natural to you, isn't it?
