In what way did you find the game bland? Most people, when they say that of a game, mean there is not enough fighting. Personally, for me, it is bland if there is not enough need for the player to use his/her brain.
I love the game, but largely as modded. For me, it's blandness consisted of endlessly repetitive dialog by near-identical NPCs, and Monty Haul-ism, where you could easily amass a fortune within a level or two.

This game will be better than "good" this game is going to be great. The NPC's actually interact with eachother, there seems to be so much more to see I can't explane. If you havent already seen the preview videos then go here http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/ if you still have any doubts then you probably just dont like open RPGs.

I think that Oblivion will be better than Morrowind because there are new features that make the game more seriously and the scenery will look better, always a plus.

Well personally I think we should just wait. They seem to have made quite a few changes from what I could gather from browsing the site but we won't really know what the final package is until we have it I guess. The NPC change seems promising, as well as the 'traveling' system, the MW one drove me crazy. And it would be great to see that wood, I am looking forward to it but there's more to a game than that and I guess we just have to wait. I am not too hyped up about it, though I am eagerly expecting it - it good be really, really good but it wouldn't be the first time we got next to nothing after a great promise.

My expectations...
I am hoping(and expecting) that the folks in Rockville will do away with runaway stat building through extreme alchemy and runaway training through spell debuffing. Once I beat the game I utilized these for the knowledge it imparted, but I want to work harder for my rewards. I like having the ability to become "godlike" in my omnipotence, but I want to work hard and search long to get it.
The Radiant AI system does look promising, but I suspect there will be ways to manipulate it. I did watch the vids and it looks great! I am also worried about the travel system. I am hoping it is not like Arena where you say where you are going, and there is no option to walk there(like in Morrowind). If both options exist, I will be pleased. A friend and I went on a quest to color the entire Morrowind map explored.
I can't imagine not liking the game, but I still think there's room to be disappointed too. Like it was said, we'll find out soon.
Cheats are just there. It's your choice whether to cheat or not.
That's right. It's your choice. I voted for "The Best Elder Scrolls Yet". I hope it will be so, even though the player can not join the imperial legion, - I see only this as a negative.
I palyed Morrowind, all of it and I mean literally all of it. I think, the Oblivion, has a great story and quests will be with the new compass system more player friendly.
I think the game will be a great one and after some tweaks and plugins from the fans it will be awesome. However, 50 hours of speech that will be the tricky part. I know there is a extra thread about it. I still can't imagine by this capacity of datas, will be there an extra DVD for soud only? Second, I'm afraid, if it the graphic should be so magnificent as presented, about the hardware requirements.
I hope Bethesda will shall release the game in March.

I've no idea. Ask me after the game arrives, and I've played it.

The Same
Well I have watched the short clips and it does look really nice graphic wise but it does seem to be the same kind of story as morrowind. Don't get me wrong i love morrowind but i would like it more to have a defferent setting besides the woods and towns and mountans and alittle more things like snow cover plains or somthing. Another thing i hope they do in Oblivion is make the dungons a little different. When i had finished the main quest all i could do was explore dungons that were all the same.

If you've seen the E3 demo videos you'd know this is the best Elder scrolls ever created. Talk about gaming! This game is going to be awesome!!!

Expantions
Do you think there will be expantions for Oblivion like there was for Morrowind. A lot of people did not like the exantions to much, but I personaly thought they were nice and they gave me some extra time of game play.

Who knows? Why speculate? Wait to play the game, and see how it sells. That will determine whether official add-ons are made. Modders are already waiting to do the really important stuff.
