Lake Hadoen's Chest

Moses~tBD^: The celestial quest with the candle worked for me. I'm not sure if the candle was in my inv or not. Been too long now to recall, but I did complete the quest.

thingsmith: Can anyone cast scrolls? I've found numerous ones and the only ones that I've been able to cast are Resurrections. I can't cast Blast Nova. :( [/QUOTE]

BlueOval, I noticed your question about the chest and I did manage to get
it but it wasn't worth reloading and going through that again as I think it
was only a level 4 chest.

Well then there's another bug. A level 4 chest at the bottom of a lake which you nearly died for??? IMHO bosses and chests - the ones in unusual or dangerous places - should drop high level items. Much more than as it is now. (Of course I realize that this is a design flaw and not a bug, just wanted to rant.) Sorry mods!

Ehh, i dunno if this is a real BUG(?) But those spawning monsters COULD come from some reasonable places. I was just examining Lost Lake rocky shore (North) when all of a sudden there started to rain FISHES !!!! they just dropped from the sky and slided to the lake after a little rough landing, HAHA.

This game DEFINETELY needs a patch 1.4 (or 2.0)

1.3 patch picked up a ?virus after downloading

hello all!! First let me say I love this game!! didn't really have any problems just wanted to see where I was going so I downloaded the map , 1.3 patch through this forum , now my smarter-half [my comp.geek] says we have a virus!! anyone else run a check to see if they got one too? advast found it! I still love this game tho!!

I really enjoy this game, so i'll actually post about the bugs and problems I have found in hopes that they will be remedied and make a good game even better. These are all present in version 1.3 for me.

1. Already mentioned, but of HUGE importance is the Ring and Trinket stacking issues I only wish i could put on half of these items i have found, but unfortunately the game won't allow it. It takes an act of divine intervention to even get 4 rings on and it's completely impossible to get 4 rings you'd want on period, simular issues with trinkets, jus 2 slots there tho.

2. Quest log bugs with the wizards letter and Shadow ruins quests not clearing when complete.

3. There needs to be something to prevent a person from entering the trials without having talked to the apothacary first so she kills her husband. My bro neglected to talk to her first, beat the trials and recovered the artifact from fathian manner. Then he went to buy stuff from her an she rewarded him for finding her son, then killed her husband and locked up shop permenantly. This in turn killed his game much later on because for some reason Maya (?) wasn't there to meet him at the ruins when his quest log said to go there an meet her. He wound up deleting that character an starting over after days of backtracking to try an find the missing link, the apothacary glitch was all we could find wrong.
The shadow ruins entrance bein a 1 time thing is pretty lame too, especially when a monster knocks you into the teleporter when you are no more than 2 steps into the place :p in my opinion the gate should remain open until the boss is defeated and his hold over the mortal realm vanquished.

4. This one isn't really a bug, more of a funtionallity issue. They Buying system is way too cumbersome. The stock window is on the right side of the screen while the buy window is over on the left. when you have to buy tons of nether components this setup is not Carpal Tunnel Syndrome friendly. :p The solutions would be have the buy amount window pop up over the item you clicked to buy or just make both the windows floating so players can put them where they want them.
Also related to the buying system is the limit of 10 items. This is really really lame when working on nether spells that you need a lot of. Patially cuz of the mundane clicking over an over an over an over and also because of the cumbersome buying menus. Since you can sell thousands an thousands of stackable items at a time, why are we limited to buying in 10 lots? Please up the # of items purchaseable in one transaction via the slider or allow us to enter in how many items we want to buy numerically or something cuz my mouse and wrist can't take much more o this :p

5. Some of my higher end nether spells cast hit or miss (i have plenty of nether skill ranks to cast them), mostly Summon Deathlord and Summon Fiend seem to be flakey, especially in dungeons. The lvl 10 spell Hatred isn't working at all for me

I'll post more as i find it, i am sure there are some other things that i am just not remembering at the moment.

You can put on the rings by dropping the one's you don't want to ware. Then you can put on the ones still in inventory and pick up the rest. To switch between rings you'll have to do it all over again :( . This also works with necklaces and armbands. D

bug in the demon area...

Killed all the beasties at a gate and the gate stayed shut... the other gate is dead once you enter by it, so there is no going forward or back... just a dead game that took 20 plus hours,,, but now unable to finish... : (

healing penalty?

When I have armor equipped that is beyond my means, the resulting penalty actually reduces the amount my celestial spells heal. I have tested this several times, removing and replacing armor while casting heal. Once I had my penalty (red negative number over my avatar's head) up to about -42 and my heal was healing me for like 1 point. I replaced the heavy armor with my normal armor (no penalty) and the heal would heal me completely.

I have not noticed the penalty affecting potions.

The penalty appears to effect your skill levels, penalizing your ability to do stuff. Personally, it makes sense to penalize you for trying to wear or use equipment that you are not powerful enough or skilled enough to use properly.

1) DeathLord can not dual medium weapons, or even long light weapons. So many hours down the drain. gj.

2) Can not Alt+Tab out of the game. Most ppl I know just toss the game as soon as they figure that out.

after getting the password from dellinger in jail i am still not able to enter the slum district the game will not give me the option mr gibbs keeps asking for the password

maybe your nether skill needs to be higher.. i summoned a minitaur or whatever it was..it beat the snot outa those fathian creeps hehehe. also i noticed the special weapons work better with higher magic weaponry skill.

bugs i noticed: no repair skill, no alchemy skill, a few of the nether spells seem to do nothing at all.

The blade witch armor is for girls only. It is breast plate mail if you know what I mean. It could be nether shoulder armor is girl only also but it's not as clear why. Anyone out there played as female and worn nether shoulder armor? D

OK this game seems to be great, but here are my known issues

1. Fargrove west gate and south gate leading into sewers = dead game. (this has only ever happened to me once)

2. When playing LAN with exactly 3 players and leaving the hall of weaponry in Arindale a player will get stuck in the roof outside, killing the player and respawning will not help. (TIP: anyone who is experiencing this issue can save the game inside, reload the game with 4 players and move outside normally, some players however may spawn outside in the breeding ground, in this case, RUN!).

3. Ghosts (I think they are called haunting ghosts) spawning in the catacombs (Fargrove area). I am not sure if this is a bug, but trying to take on 6 of these is impossible at level 5-8.

bug in the final "demon" area

Character stuck outside of gate in demon area, killed all monsters (that were visible) and gate wouldn't open - (perhaps I blasted some to other parts of the area where they could not be killed?)

That happend to me once.... i figured out that you HAVE to make shure the prison gard OPEN'S his cage door and lets him out, THEN talk to him, and make shure he walks out of the prison... after that.. it worked for me..

Drainlife skill

Greetings:

The drain life skill seems to work for melee attacks rather than spells. I do not know if this is a typo (skills says spells will drain) or a bug.

Also, after completing the game there is a dialog that states you (the player) may continue to explore; but the game kicked me to the load screen instead.

Fun game BTW :D
