Mmm... you don't have ANY good mage (I don't count Jan as a mage). I don't know if that fits your playstyle, but I'd recommend getting a mage instead of Cernd (who, IMHO, is not a good NPC anymore after the game gets halfway through). Either get Nalia, or ... (building up courage here to pass the restraint) ... (almost have enough) ... Edwin (BWAH! I feel dirty now that I wrote his name! Image )

A little warning Minsc and Edwin don't get alone .It's worth putting them together to see what happens .

In my party I have:
Me(Half Orc Berserker)
Korgan
Keldorn
Viconia
Jan Jansen
Edwin

It seems to work well, I'm in the Underdark now. Kerldorn & Edwin are my favorites. Edwin have GREAT mage bonuses. I would recommend them both.

Drop Korgan and get Mazzy. Her+Gesen Bow= much ass-whooping. This is the party I first played with:
Me (barbarian)
Minsc
Jaheria
Aeire
Nalia
Valygar
-decent party but weak in a lot of respects. Now the second party I played through with I walked through the game with no troubles:

Me(Monk)
Minsc
Viconia
Keldorn
Mazzy
Jan
-the problem came when Keldorn and Viconia mixed it up later and I, ahem, lost Viconia. I replaced her with Valygar so it balanced out. This party has strength to spare, plus a pure cleric in Viconia (which at high levels gives you some insanely cool spells) and decent mage power with Jan. Of course, for everything everyone makes of Crom Faeyr (which, to be fair, is understandable) the Gesen Bow just rocks. No ammo needed, it's shots punch through pretty much all spell protection and deliver nice amounts of damage. Give it to Mazzy and stand back, it's a sight to behold. Hope this all helps.

Watch out for Keldorn + Viconia! Eventually, BOTH will leave your party, and Keldorn will then kill Viconia.

I think anomen rocks ass...
since he is the only cleric that got that much of HP
i got him as my tank
with the little "bug" i found out of:
when u buy the sensate amulet from adventure's inn (only clerics can wear it)
u get +5 hp, that is even if u unwear it, the hp u just got stays.....
so whenever anomen is low on hp
i open my inventory, since in bg2 it is pauses when u open it.. u can heal anomen just buy wear on/off the sensate amulet......
so anomen practically never dies except when someone deals more than he's full hp with 1 hit......
thats why aerie or viconia are less good since they got that crappy constitution...
with the baldurian's plate, the pale green ioun stone and some other +hp stuff
anomen got more than 150 hp with me...
at thats just lvl 15..
plus i gave him so much things he got like charisma of 24 :D

another "bug" i found out is, when u go to the sewers, that guy that sells potions even buys stuff u stole. luckly i like A good thief, since i always pickpocket and steal everything :D
so my fighter/thief (named coran :D ) has like 140 pickpocket.
i just stole all the stuff frome everyone without much trouble
and when i got enough money, i bought the armor of balduran
sold to the dude at the sewers, and stole from him over and over again..
infinite money :D
how's that
when u can just go buy anything in the game.... not worrying :D

my party:
Anomen
Keldorn
Minsc (dropping for Valygar when i get to meet him)
Me (Fighter/Thief)
Nalia (prefer Imoen though hate it that she is gone grrrrrr)
Aerie
