anyhow i'm not sure why you're so devoted to their stats in the earlier games, afterall they were built w/ totally different rulesets.
My intentions were purely dishonourable
![Eek! :o](./images/smilies/)
For the most part the BG NPC's have abilities that total well above the 76 allocated for standard humans
Faldorn = 12 + 15 + 11 + 10 + 16 + 15 = 79 (+3)
Safana = 13 + 17 + 12 + 16 + 09 + 17 = 84 (+8)
Xzar = 14 + 16 + 10 + 17 + 16 + 10 = 83 (+7)
The same goes for most of the non-humans. Edwin on the other hand is actually workable in IWD2 infact he has 2 points to spare. Tiax would actually gain 4 points too.
ahh well best of luck with that.
Thanks I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally gonna need it.

So you are planning to make party based on Baldur’s Gate characters? Yes it is silly question indeed, but have you considered about the age of those characters? I would like to say that human characters would be quite young if you decide to follow time line between IWD and BG.
Yes I read the whole topic, but I would still talk about Viconia.
If you click the link below you will be directed at site where is “mod” that adds Shar as deity. But I feel my self requested to add that I haven’t found download link.

But Viconia doesn’t need to be follower of Shar. That is mainly because of she was priestess of Lolth in her past. So downloading “Cleric Domains 1.3” from link below you could have priestess of Lolth.

Well, you never really were able to have Gorion in your party. But that man also had his past. Who knows what he has done on his younger years. Well at least he did have quarrel with one red dragon and his connections to those blasted harpers.
Time line would also support Keldorn just fine. Who knows if those scars in his head are from Isaer and Madea? Then Keldorn was just standing in the Temple sewers offering his help to deal that evil. Wouldn’t it make more sense if Order of radiant heart would have sent more Paladins instead of just one old one? Yes he is decent character but he is against mysterious evil cult? Perhaps he had fought along Gorion. So he might them be aware of protagonists divine nature. There was some dialogue between Imoen and Keldron in Throne of Bhall expansion.
Quote from Gamebanshee site: (Baldur’s Gate II section and Keldorn in NPCs to be most specific.)
“Keldorn vs. Imoen [ToB]
At one point while wandering in the wilderness Keldorn catches Imoen rifling through his things. He gets extremely stern about it and Imoen only stammers responses so I was worried it might actually become serious. Suddenly Imoen comes out and confesses that she just took any excuse to run her hands over his muscular body. Now its Keldorn's turn to stammer as Imoen goes on to confess at length that his presence drives her wild. Keldorn replies that he "had no idea that he had such an effect on her", after which Imoen finally breaks down with the giggles and returns his ring, promising not to take it again.”
Did Imoen Recognise that ring? What if Gorion had similar ring? Perhaps Keldorn is the one who brought Imoen to Candlekeep? But this gets now little bit carried off.
Also there are also two potent characters called as Jonaleth and umm... Bodhi. Perhaps Jonaleth learned about Bhaalspawns from Gorion? During that time he might not been interested about some kids, but perhaps on later part of his life he remembered and got you locked in his dungeon. In there he might have also learnt about Imoen’s divine past. In this case you could use nicer sound set and “prettier” portrait. But if instead of Jonaleth you decide that he should be Irenicus it could bring you potent evil mage. So perhaps Irenicus would Evoker and Bodhi roque of sorts.
These are BG1 characters that I personally liked in BG1.
Yeslick and Shar-Teel. Yeslick could be Fighter 4/Painbearer X in IWD2. If you look at his background story in BG1 he might have been in Icewind Dale when Legion of Chimera attacked and after the conflict he continued on his travels and eventually ended up in Sembia.
Link to Planet Baldur’s Gate because it offers more info.

As for Shar-Teel I presume that she would be quite young in IWD2. But wouldn’t she be just fitting as Fighter/Barbarian?
Link below is also to Planet Baldur’s Gate. But that is just so that Shar-Teel’s part could be little bit better covered.

Khalid and Jaheira would also be young at the moment, but I presume that both of them would still old enough to be on the road. Perhaps they also met each other in the city of Luskan?
Perhaps you should try doing little bit mixed alignment party, just because of conflicts between characters.
By the way, Tiax is a good idea and you could boost his strength with those extra four points.
Well… bye.
Edited:
There is weidu mod called Icewind Gate II. You might want to try it.
