To the best of my knowledge, I made no mistakes with respect to the instructions for installing the german 1.4 patch. However, the game won't play. All I get is an error message.
Edit: The 51mb 1.3-1.4 patch doesn't work. The 63mb 1.4 patch does.
After installing, rename npcdata.pak to gnpcdata.pak and textpak.000 to gtextpak.000

Do as I say. Not as I do....
In my previous post, I mistakenly stated the 1.3-1.4 patch doesn't work.
I was way too tired when I originally attempted the update.
I definitely like the longhaired / lightly tanned blonde female elf I created.
