For the critical hit exclamations, just turn the subtitles on: you'll be able to read exactly what they say...

like the healing spells, I can recognize the word MORTIS there...

"Vita, mortis, ca... dfhgkjdfhsg..." something...

Mortis is to do with Morte or death so necromancy (healing spells and death spells) fits in.

Vita = Life
Mortis = Death

...or some derivative of them.
