Second generation ex-pats are not covered. It would be cruel. You have to move on and assimilate in the host culture; eating their horrible food is part of that. I'm sorry, but it is for your own good in the long run. Separate development has a bad name :laugh:

I feel as though all the Scottish-Canadians have been left in the cold. Especially since it was the scottish that were responsible for the settling of Calgary, Lethbridge, and a great many forts and the like between hither and yon.

Delicious salted creamy peanut butter on my Eggo Waffles with maple syrup.
My uncle however likes that all natural peanut butter on his cereal. Go figure!

Ah finally a thread to celebrate the glory of peanut butter. That stuff is so good, it's easy, cheap and TASTY! I suppose I like it salted and crunchy but I don't really know about the difference between salted and unsalted, maybe that's something we don't have around here.

I think the salted or not issue is related to the type you buy. The more commonly known brands contain salt by default, as well as sugar and numerous other ingredients.

Being the food purist I am o ) ... the variety we buy only contains peanuts, peanut oil and salt (if you choose that type).
But, I suppose since it is a "natural" brand, they are more focused on issues like whether or not their products contain salt, since some people have dietary concerns.

How can you tell I live on the West Coast of North America?

Peanut butter and waffles with syrup is great! Rachel introduced me to that. It is horrid for you, but oh so good.

@Tony and Gwally, Fluffernutter sandwiches are bomb. You just can't beat them! Cheap, easy to make, and delicious. What's not to love? :laugh:

Mmm... I like blending peanut butter with honey too... and then spreading it on apple slices (preferably a really tart, crisp variety)
