Are you kidding me?

ATLANTA, Georgia - A 15-year-old boy whose 37-year-old wife is due to give birth to the couple’s baby this month has run away from a group home, prompting the boy’s grandmother to speculate that the wife was involved in the disappearance.

The wife, Lisa Clark, who is due to give birth Feb. 20, did not play a role in the boy’s disappearance last Friday, said her attorney, Daniel Sammons.

The wife was “surprised and concerned,” Sammons said. “She has no knowledge of his whereabouts at all.”

Juni, Can you get married at 15 where you are? What is the age limit? I thought it was higher in the US than here (16)

Bull poop in my opinion, its just about making war once more, religious leaders love war.

Woman stopped by the police kills 2 with rifle shots (the policemen were doing a blitze on cars when a girl with 1,6 meters high went down the car and shot to deat a cop, a passerby, killing both, and hurting another cop and two passerbys. The police says she's linked with drug traffic. Oh, it was in Rio de Janeiro. Dont go there for tourism boys, go to Bahia, tis better. Oh, and the cops wont get her, for sure, she must be a ninja to do that and escape).

Ok...heres what I found out

In United States, all but two states require a couple be age 18 in order to marry without parental consent. Nebraska sets the age at 19 and Mississippi at 21 at the time of this writing (May 2003). A few states will waive this requirement if there is a pregnancy involved, but the couple may still have to have court approval.

Maine (Where I am): Applicants must be over 18 years old. A license shall not be issued to anyone under the age of 16 without written parental consent and the written consent of a judge.

Georgia (where they are): If you are 16 or 17 years old, you may apply if accompanied by both parents who have given written consent. If the bride is pregnant, no parental consent is required if you submit a statement from a licensed physician certifying that the bride is pregnant.

@Juni. I see. In England it is 18 without consent and 16 with. In Scotland it is 16 and no consent required. But this boy was 15?

In Australia that would be considered as paedophliia.

To engange in sexual relations, if you are under 18, there must be no more than an age gap of 2 years.

So the woman would have been locked up, and the kid released as being an 'innocent victim'.

The largest headline today was 'CARTOON FUROR GROWS'. EU fears violence as more papers print muslim imgaes. In the first paragraph, it says quote- '...what started off as a row between Denmark's Press and it's Muslim population grew into a full-blown clash of civilizations pitting Western Values against Muslim Religious Sensitives'.

It goes on to describe the calling of a Day of Anger from a Muslim cleric by the name of Sheikh Yussef al-Qaradawi, and the EU office 'incident', where gunmen from the Islamic-Jihad occupied the office.

First paragraph describes the pre empitve strike planned by the US-Israeli to stop Tehran from gaining access to nuclear weaponry.

This is about a man, Marc Lachance (ironic), who fell under the charm of a Belgian lady, Sabine, when on vacation in November in Havana, but didn't get a last name or phone number, so sent out letters to hundreds of woman with the same first name, gaining the attention of a local radio station where Sabine's brother heard of his quest and informed his sister.

The final article on the front page describes how a site for Japanese Canadian's was highjacked by pornographers and changed it into a forum for, well, porn, weight loss scams and online pharmacies, and no one noticed as they were making a new site to replace it. An older lady who was in the camps when she was 14 found it and pointed it out to the NAJC and the governemnt employee who oversees Canadian Heritage online cultural programs, Alain Lefleur.

Today the main news in one of the papers I take is the "cartoon" cisis. Protest spread to London for the first time and the article notes that the British government has aligned with Pakistan and Turkey, out of step with other European governments

The main domestic story is a contrast between the city of London Bankers, who are to share £7.5 billion in bonuses; with the 51% increase in bankrupties and the 70% rise in house repossessions which have been recorded at the same time. There is some concern about the growing divide between rich and poor in the UK

This is something I'm sure those of us living in America have at least heard, maybe more. Bob Woodruff is a high-profile News Anchor for ABC News who was recently wounded in Iraq, taking an amount of shrapnel to the head. He was flown, along with video journalist Dog Vogt, to Bethesda, Maryland where they are to undergo surgery. Fortunately both are recovering fairly well at this point which is especially good news becasue I had originally heard Mr. Woodruff wasn't going to live. The reason I posted this here was because the Woodruffs are friends of my father's and my brother is good friends with his nephew. I'm not the type to throw my problems at others, but I'd appreciate it if those who read this could keep Mr. Vogt and the Woodruffs (the family and Bob himself) in their thoughts. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear this has touched you so closely,Tony. I hope that both continue their recovery. It is important to remember those who are killed and injured in the course of other work, besides the soldiers and civilians from all sides who are more often mentioned
