dude i looked can i cant find another exit to the cave. i already found the altar with the unfinished staff, but my current objective on the mages staff mission is to investigate the 2 peoples deaths. how do i go about doing that?

Okies, you found the staff. Killed off all of the necromancers, both outside and inside. Good, that's done with then. You used the action key on both dead bodies right? You got a little note when you used action on them saying found such and such dead? I believe it should be in your diary. If so go back to the Imp. City and tell the guy, forgot his name, about it. He'll tell you where to go next.

The first dead mage is in the first room of the cave, right when you enter. I'm not sure about the second, but I think he's near the unfinished staff. You have to click on them (loot them) for the quest to update.

holy crap i am getting mad....dude. i did everything you said, i have the unfinished staff in my hand! he still says, what r u doing, you should be out getting ur mages staff! omg plzzz help..

mage masta, remember the agreement you signed when you joined? The tune went this way, in part:

Our host is in the US, home of the endless net nannies, and some other general admission boards on that same host have been removed because of profanity. Use any language you want away from the board--hell, my language at times would probably peel off your skin--but we don't do it up here. Post edited.

One other thing. This thread was started to answer a poster's question. If you have another question, have the courtesy to start a new thread, instead of hijacking theirs. I'll leave it stand for now, since I want you to get an answer to your question. But please don't do it again.

Okey let me see:

-you get the quest from the guy in the Arc. Uni
-you find the cave, go in.
-right at the door you are faced with one necromancer
-kill her/him
-dead body on the floor, one of the mages - used action key on it - got a little msg in the quest log about sh.. being dead

-went right (I think) into the room with a little river in the middle
-killed off two necromancers there (got the key for the exit as well)
-went to the utmost top right (I think, I can check if you want), found another corridor with *another* necromancer, killed him
-used the key to get out to the valley

-met by another necro there, killed them (3 or 4 am not sure)
-clicked on the dead body of the other mage, got another msg about the second being dead
-took the *unfinished* staff from the alter

Is this what you did? Are you sure you got all the necromancers?

maybe not..

you see, the first time, i only found one dead body, grabbed the staff, and ran cause therewere to many necros. then, i went to the dude because i thought all i needed was the staff. it dint work, so i went back and found the other dead body. the thing is it still wont work

But did you kill the necromancers? I think you need to.

And the staff, that's the unfinished one from the alter right? If so, then it seems you do need to kill all the necromancers off. It's easily done actually. Don't waste time on magic, get your sword, come right up to them and whack away. They go down quickly enough.

How did you get the key to the valley by the way if you didn't kill the necromancers?

Ah excellent, I was hoping it wasn't a bug. It seems that some of the quests are somewhat 'sensitive' to what you do. Great

It seems that when I ran, a necro followed me and couldn't get back on to the island, so I was forced to hunt him down. Thanx for the help!

Aha, so there was one alive! Thanks for telling us this, it meens it is neccessarty to do away with them all. Good that you managed to finish it, now you're off to new adventures
