Oblivion Pro: You are not called an Inwar every 10 seconds. Nor an Outlander. Which is refreshing after Morrowind.

Hehe
However, one of my gripes is that everyone is extra nice and sweet. 99% of the guards for example are polite and beyond eager to help to the point of being serfs. The civilised part of Cyrodiil is viewed through rosey spectacles, as they say.

One thing I find annoying about Oblivion is the voice-acting. They have only used like 5-6 actors in total, it seems.. The fact that there are several NPC's in each town that has the exact same voice, is crap. The guards even share their voice (yeah, all guards have the same voice) with severeal NPC's worldwide. And they're not that good either.
I'd rather they did it like Fallout, with mostly text, but with voice-acting on a smaller bunch of people who stood a bit out from the crowd.
The skill-system is crap. It is almost really great..but then they decided to take a huge dump all over the greatness of it.
But overall it's a good game, but I don't really feel like I'm in the gameworld. Another thing that removes me from the game atmosphere is the fact that you can travel across the world on your own two feet in 5 seconds (real-time). This has made the horses much less useable, and seem like something fancy the developers decided to throw into the game to get a better marketing-value..

I'd say there's about 20, give or take, different voices in the game. 1 for each race's male and female. The voice acting kind of took away from the experience, in a way. I realize that some things, such as the way people would recognize you by your race and class, is gone. Also, the actors always seem so indifferent or even happy-go-lucky when you've just completed some gruesome task that they witnessed or they're asking you to rescue a loved one.
I also think the fast travel could've been more remnicient of Morrowind, but without the Striders. Such as you can only fast travel to major cities or select other locations. I usually do that anyway.
