is nar shadaa your 1st planet? cuz im thinkin that dxuns gonna be a problem... well at least the loose end bits... and the ravenger will be a thorn too... like i said, i would beef up and level to 50... also, i take it youre NOT using cheat codes, yes? technically, there not force powers... lol
Yes, I chose Naa Shadaa so that I could pick up Hanharr, who's a great tank. However, I'm rather worried that I won't be able to manage the Jedi guy at the end of the level as you fight him in a bare room with no-where to run...perhaps I should have been LS.

you two if you say you trust visas more than you trust brianna she wont speak to you you have to either say you dont wanna harm her or you might have to kill her is what ive found out

@rvevan spirit: oh... well that would explain it... never knew that either... thnx
@Alcina: do you have a certain order that youll play the plantets in? and couldnt you just leave all the jedi masters alive and have kreia kill them on dantooine and still play as dark side? ive done that before... its hellva lot easier then to fight them i can tell you...

Wow, an actual thread about this. I had thought you were doing Nar Shadda as your fourth planet, but you've started again? Well, good luck.

I generally do Dantooine as far as the cave to get 'MyCrystal', then go and do Naa Shadaa, since that planet yields you 3 companions, and if you leave it till later you don't have time to get INF with them. This time, round, since I'm not using any sabers, I went straight to Naa Shaddaa.
I'm currently doing Dxun, plagued by the usual repeated crashes it always suffers from. I found that the Jedi Master wasn't actually all that hard to kill, even wthout a saber...

huh... intresting... you seem to have more of a battle plan now then i would never have... what about stats and feats and stuff... what are they now?

this sounds like an interesting challenge, i may have to try this myself once i finish the darkside game.
been thinking about using a female sentinel. (maybe one of the fighty prestige classes, if not watchman / sith as.) maybe skip the prestige altogether.
stats (roughly, not sure they all add up)
str 12 or more
dex 14
con 16
int 16
wis 10
cha 10
not sure about weapon style, twf gives more pop, dueling would be a boost to ac and to hit. may skip both and hope for a nice upgradeable bowcaster...
gonna try to use ranged combat and energy shields as much as possible, maybe even stealth...
decided to try female for two reasons:
one since wis will be poor there's not much point to handmaiden's duels.
two disciple is functionally the same with the added bonus of acting as a lab station - i fear i'll be cooking up a lot more medpacks...
dark / light ???
hanharr would be a good companion and gives a nice bonus to a force deprived pc, but not sure i really want to fight the jedi masters.
can't think of any obvious benefit to going lightside...
as for force powers i may use level one of speed to aid in travel and force pursuades - if only to have them, the heal tree could be another decent power if only to skip waiting for regeneration - will have to see how that acts when pc is on auto pilot...
also at a bit of a loss as to how to advance the pc, i could put points into dex and use finesse and a light to medium armour with a large dex bonus, or go strength and try a heavy / medium armour w/ minimal dex bonus.
not sure how useful ac is going to be, may need to focus more on damage soaks - still i would rather be a hard target...

Having just finished Korriban as my third optional planet (on to Oderon2!), level 23, no cheats or exploits:
Was Sentinel until 18, then Sith marauder:
Including upgrades from party members and levels, raw stats (with equipment boosted stats in brackets):
STR: 19 (23)
DEX:10 (17)
CON: 18 (22)
INT:18
WIS:10
CHA:8
Feats: (Standard for Sentinel) plus:
Master 2 weapon fighting, Heavy Armour Proficiency, Master Flurry, Class Demolitions, Regeberate Vitality, Improved Toughness, Weapon Focus mellee.
Skills (raw): Com 25 Dem 26 Ste 11 Awa 11 Per 12 Rep 25 Sec 26 Tre 26
Vitailty 380
Defence: 37 (though not really; the level cap will operate)
Fort:23
Refl: 17
Will: 10 (Inc NPC upgrades)

Hmm.
Not sure I agree. because
1) If you are having trouble beating handmaiden, get her shot up in a firefight off the Hawk, then get her back on board before she can heal. She'll fight you with reduced hit points : easy!!!
2) Disciple doesn't join you until half way through Dantooine, whereas Brianna joins you on Telos. This leads to a dilemma: If you get him before you go to Naa Shadaa as a Darksider, you will find it hard to get enough INF to get the Stat bonuses from Hanharr and HK. There's suprisingly little INF on Dxun/Onderon, and NONE on Korriban (except for Kreia)
ANYWAY:
I have just been introduced to the wonders of the Save Game Editor!!!
I guess I could create a character, then alter it not be not a Jedi at all. Question: Which would be better: a Tech Specialist or a Soldier?

Soldier hands down. Without force powers or a saber you'll need a tank.

that wasn't my point, my point was if you're not going to jedify them, nor will the pc have much of a positive wis score handmaiden and disciple are pretty much equal.

getting influence w/ hanharr hasn't really been much of an issue for me so far,
maybe that has to do w/ the fact that i usually have a decent cha score not sure, my bigger problem w/ darksiders is racking up dsp's i seem to hover around almost qualifing for mastery then i go and do something nice like upgrade t3, and poof there goes mastery.
onderon / duxun seems to have several hk inf points, though i haven't quite gotten to that payoff yet.
i'm just not as familiar w/ how to play darkside yet.
either way, i tried putting this build together, and the dual 16's screw everything up - just not enough points.

Welcome to save editing! I found it most enjoyable & it also educates you in the influence of others (You get to see a real influence number & not alingment bar). If you want a stellar pistol, toss a 'killblaster' in your inventory (why not make it 2). I tested these babies with Mira / Hanharr battle. Mira got 2 shots off & the ape fell like a sack.

Yeah, thats another problem with saving Onderon and Korriban for last; there are VERY few DSPs available. AFAIR there are 4 on Korriban (or 5 if you set Revan to LS at the start of the game) providing you don't lose any 'imaginary battles in the cave', and 9 on Dxun/Onderon.
onderon / duxun seems to have several hk inf points, though i haven't quite gotten to that payoff yet.
Really? I can only think of 3 offhand : killing the Mandalorian who's stuck on the ridge, [Force persuade] the guard on the door of the Starport, and when the attack on you by Vaklu's men in the cantina starts, tell him you don't mind if he kills civilians. Plus, of course, there are 3 conversation options which gain you INF with him, which can be done anywhere, including here.
i'm just not as familiar w/ how to play darkside yet.
I know the feeling; I feel the same way about Lightside.

When I play DS, I usually leave STR and DEX at 8, as I never hit anything with a physical weapon anyway, I just stand at the back and Force Lightning them. Or if I am intending to be a Marauder tank, I do as if LS and leave WIS and CHA at 8.
One good thing to remember about DS is that in the course of the game you get 2 free STR and 2 free CON, which LS people don't. (Plus 2 WIS, one of which they do). DS for free upgrades all the way...
For anyone who's interested, by original non-Force-using Jedi has now finished the Return to Onderon, and will be moving on to Dantooine tomorrow... I managed the compulsory Kreia-who-might-buff-me-without-asking problem by doing the whole thing in the palace in Solo mode. I am so teh tank....

for what it's worth there is a 4th hk influence on onderon, inciting the riot.

I prodded it yesterday for 10 minutes or so; it doesn't seem noticably different from Soldier; you seem the got the same skill points and 10 points at level up...

It's another one of the non-jedi classes, that is usually only available to enemy NPCs, but using KSE we can make our PC into a Minion.
