Ugh. Between being creeped out by haunted orphanages turned into insane asylums turned into abandoned buildings and Mario the Red commie bastard, I'm flummuxed.

I HATE the Shalebridge Cradle.

That was the reason I stopped playing Thief III for ages, and now I'm on it I've stopped again.

I just can't deal with that level.

It's the closest I've come to nightmares ever.

ROFL! I'm so glad someone actually knew exactly what I meant. :o

The very first time I played that game, last summer, and I got to the Cradle, it creeped me out so hard. After I beat it, I immediately started a new game. About a week later, I was in the Clocktower, and a voice in the back of my head said to me, "You are only a few short hops away from Shaelbridge." The game was collecting dust ever since. :o Well, until now. Dunno what possessed me to start playing it again, but I did. And, lo and behold, I made it to the Cradle, and it's even more bloody creepy than I remembered. I kept getting goosebumps and reflexively looking behind me (I don't mean making Garrett look, I mean me). I unloaded a bunch of flashbombs and holy water on one zombie, and I wound up trolling the halls pretty much unarmed. Accidentally went up some elevator that had no buttons at the top floor, fell, and died. I exited that game so fast after that... :o It's embarrassing, really. And the worst part is, I still have some urge to go back and play that game, so I know I'll be doing Shaelbridge again soon (this time, I'll make sure I haven't been doing any mind-altering substances hours before going, cuz that place is creepy enough without that sort of thing). :( :speech:

Hmm.... I don't quite see the connection between Shalebridge Cradle and Spiderman and Darth Vadar arguing.

It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.
