Oh, you've got it for the pc, I don't know if I can help you much there, I have it for the 360. But the procedure is like this.

Take out your bow, draw your arrow, go to item menu, click on arrows you have drawn(click to unequip them, not drop), drop the item you want copied(keep in mind not all items can be cloned and I even lost a few items trying to clone), then continue the game. As long as you follow that general guideline then you'll be fine. And I'm sure that you know that the number of arrows you have = the amount of clones it will end up as. And lets say you drop 3 grouped potions at the same time, then you will have 3 times as many items.

Mccool:
Some stolen items can be cloned, I once stole an Akavari Katana from the blades and took it to the Smash and Slash in the Imperial City, and made the copy inside of the smash and slash, I just forgot how many arrows I had and ended up with like 300 Akavari Katanas. And once you clone a stolen item, it is no longer shown as stolen but as fair property. Other items that can't be cloned are really powerful weapons, or at least they can't in my experience. I tried to clone Debauser, but all it did was drop. So yea, you just have to experiment around and see which items work and which don't.

If you are going to cheat to that degree, why fuss- just use the console to add the item. IMO, it takes all the fun out, though. I only use cheats if a game bug got me in that position in the first place.

The mage guild and thieves guild have some conflicts. It's impossible to complete both sets of quests without this happening; you should be prepared to pay the price.

No, I mean to take out a sketch pad and doodle a bow on there. Yes, press the R Trigger, then press B

I am an ARCHMAGE, if i do this quest WHO does have the power to kick me out from that position ?!?!?

No one, but you'll still get kicked out. I've been kicked out once, I'm the archmage, I got one of the apprentices to follow me around, and in the middle of a fight he jumped in the way of my fire arrow and got himself killed and I got kicked out. Its really stupid.

sorry to further highjack, but here's a link to a vid of the duplication trick method. It helped me much more than any typed out description of how to do it.....Just be sure you are still holding the R trigger when you back your way back to live action....otherwise you'll just drop the one item and fail to pull off the duplication....for those that don't mind a little cheat along the way this one can really get ya out of financial jams....

I'm sort of confused by this post because, Fathis Aren never actually aggro'ed on me when I went to his tower. His guardians did and I killed them no problem. After killing them, I then was able to go talk to Fathis, take his arrow from the chest (that was right next to him) and everything. It was kind of wierd. He just sat there and mixed potions while I killed his guardians and looted his chest. I figured this was normal. Does he ussually/is he supposed to aggro on you when you approach his tower?

I have to agree with Raven...Fathis was cool the whole time when I did it. I actually used him as a shield when his flunkies were attacking me. LOL He just kept mixing potions. strange!

Yeah, I asked one of my friends and he said the same thing. Fathis didn't aggro on him either. I guess people are using some area of effect spells/weapons or are blindly wailing away with their swords when the see him. :D

You can also do it with scrolls, have a stack of scrolls, double click it and then drop the item you wanna dupe. Note:item number must be less then scroll number, (in inventory anyway, you can just drop them).
