I found a house just north-east of Kvatch where some dudes family make offerings to some lame as easy rock thing, and i have started the game 3 times and slept in the dudes house 3 times and each time i sleep in his bed a vamp comes in while i'm sleeping and bites me giving me the vampire disease, he might for you too

about the sun damage thing, you dont actually have to drink blood every 24 hrs. if you feed on some one, you will be safe from the sun as long as you dont Sleep or Wait afterwards, so it is possible to go days without feeding and not be affected by the sun...however, it can be very inconvenient avoiding Sleeping and Waiting...

Possibly 100% magicka resistance, but I doubt it. I have actually caught the disease while being a vampire, which leads me to believe they've forgotten to make any checks at all when the disease is passed to you. This might be a side effect from the fact that you can get it during a questline (by your consent).

I started out as a bit white skinned imperial and tried to shape my face after Dracula in the movie Van Helsing, that was not easy at all
Once I turned into a vampire, my skin didnt pale at all! It got brown-redish, well a skin-color most latin americans have. A bit weird since humans get pale as the moon as vampires, is it because Im only on stage 1 of vampirism or is it because I started out too pale? Also can I return to a previous vampire stage if Im like at stage 3, then drinks blood and then I return to stage 2 or 1?
A last thing, Im a bit disappointed that you dont have the chance to infect NPC's when feeding or even kill them. Like there should be a 35% for infecting them 25% that they get killed and 40% chance that nothing happens.
If this has been posted before I apoligize but I searched and got zero.
So here goes - after awhile I found out I could become a vamp
But haven't found out how; how to get my self afflicted with the curse, how to cure it or what I do with the power of a vampire since i'm a day person.
But now - with my battlemage in which i tend to use destruction spells as my combat sucks eggs - I want the power :mischief:
I squeeze every single thing out of every single thing when playing an RPG game and have thus so far done in Oblivion.
But hopefully not with this new guy.
I have a perfect character in mind - breton short-sword wielding spellcasting that uses clothing - basically a shmo  But honestly, I want an average character with one pecularity - he's a bloodsucker :mischief:
So I'd like some specifics from others about 'the vampire process' and everything entailed in oblivion.
Posts appreciated.
i became a vampire while i was sleeping at the chorral mages guild in one of my games , and in the dark brotherhood after you get pretty far one of the members asks if you want him to pass on the power of the vampire, you have to sleep for a day (24 hrs) then wait 3 days and your a vampire. But after a while it sucks trust me, there is an advantage you do have increased strength so thats is sweat

:mischief: The color of night is Black, as the color of Oblivion is red. All live with the fact that Mehrunes Dagon rules, Ye who Closes Shut the Jaws of Oblivion will see the mouth of Oblivion closer than thou can imagine:mischief:
