You found this while you're in Dxun? Wow. You must be very lucky. I only got a green crystal the first time round (Didn't bother to play the game the second time).

Yep Des, but that was on game 16. Going for 17 next after a short break. The wife says I spend too much time playing the game. I solved the problem by using force block speech on her Wait.... maybe she's right??

I've been accused of being obsessed too. I've discovered that every time I play the game, the more often I find the rarer crystals, like the ultima-pearl, the silver crystal, and bronze crystal. Not that the amount of gameplay really has anything to do with it; I think I just get more tenacious about finding them. Still, I've only found the cyan crystal once, on my first play through. Gotta say, that one looks just as good as the silver one.

I know I'm saying something off-topic but what really compel you guys to keep on replaying the game? I only played it once and can't be bothered to replay the game again, unless I'm bored, of course.

For me it's 4 things
1. Wacking folks with a lightsaber. Can't get enough of fighting with a saber in hand. I think this is the best game for that. KOTOR 1 you had to play like 1/2 the game without a saber. This one only about 1/4. Other games like Jedi Outcast series are too Doom for me. I like the follow camera view a lot better.

2. Different sceniaros. LS Male, DS Male, Neutral male / female, female LS & DS, start light, go dark, etc, etc, it's really a different game each time for me. That on top of the save game editor lets me hack a game & play what if. My last LS female had incredible stats from hacking, but there were still things she couldn't do (open locks, some are soo hard, even a 40 in securtiy won't crack them)

3. Changing party members, all jedi vs no jedi, what weapon to give to who, upgrades upgrades upgrades.

4. I really connect with the exile storyline. Had a similar thing happen at work where I backed the wrong guy & this lets me vent. Wife is used to the following conversation
Wife: "How was work?"
Me: "Bad, (insert rant about what went on at work)"
Wife: "Well, why don't you go wack your jedi guys"
Me: "I love you"

Or something along those lines

It's several things for me. First, I like going through all the various combinations of characters and story choices (male, female, jedi/sith classes, light side, dark side, whatever Revan was because that affects the message you unlock in T3). Second, I love the npc characters in both KOTOR games, and I really enjoy the influence options in the second game. Third, and most of all, I'm a sucker for a good story. I'm not a big gamer, and I'm really picky about what I play, so what attracts me most are characters and story. Even though there are a LOT of problems with the second game, mainly because they never finished making it, I still find the basic plot very compelling and I have enough imagination to fill in the gaps on my own. I've always been a Star Wars fan and I love how these games add more depth and complexity to the Star Wars world than what exists in the films. The problem I always had with the films was that there were very few shades of gray within the realm of jedi vs. sith, but the games explore that and point out the flaws in both philosophies. I know it sounds like I'm over-thinking this, but I'm a writer, and I love well-crafted fiction in whatever form it comes.
