...During peak times, MySQL runs out of memory...
Out of curiosity, when are the peak-times? I'm finding it very hard to access the forums during the day (Central European Time) experiencing multiple timeouts and a few database failures, so I'm wondering if trying at some other point in the day will yield better results.

Regarding the above post, this is the first time I've been able to get in for weeks. (I was wondering what was going on with good ol' GB!) It's now about 8am, east coast USA time, so I don't think this is a peak time.

FYI- I still can't load the homepage, but the forums seem okay.

In addition to our MySQL usage, I've also noticed that a rogue process tends to show up at all times of the day. This process eats up a considerable amount of RAM, and I'm currently working on tracking it down to determine what's causing it. As far as peak time goes, our traffic is usually the highest between 4:00-5:00PM CST. Our lowest traffic occurs between 4:00-5:00AM CST.

The good news is that I've signed the paperwork for the new server and plan on migrating all data next week. If all goes well, GameBanshee will be running in top form by the end of the month.

Hey, just want to say that I love this site and I hope that all goes well so I can see the front page again soon! Thanks for all the hard work.

Now that we've upgraded to a new version of vBulletin, I decided to make a few more code tweaks and implement the poll into our homepage again. It loads great for me, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone is still having problems with it. If so, I will pull it down again.

I'm having problems again when the poll comes up - I am seriously curious as to what the issue can be, as I've never seen anything like it regarding work :D

This is how it looks for me:
Firefox - frontpage - logged in

Opera - top of frontpage - logged in
Opera - bottom of frontpage - logged in

Internet Explorer - NOT logged in (working)
Internet Explorer - logged in (not working)

For the record - I have *not* voted in the poll.

I even get a javascript error (one of them annoying "object expected" when logging in with IE. Don't seem to get it in neither Opera nor FireFox.

It does seem to me there is an issue with the auto (server side) generated HTML code which gets posted by/via/regarding the poll.

Sorry Buck, still doesn't work for me either. My unlogged-in firefox is perfectly fine, my logged in is the same as his.

Its the same with me. If I try it logged in and with firefox, the poll doesn't display properly and the front page in general has trouble loading.

Alright, we've tracked down the code that caused the poll to break when a logged in user hadn't voted. Please let me know if anyone is still having problems with it.

Yeah, mine's fine too. Both without voting, then when I did vote. :)
