Have to constantly fish to get bigger ones, eh? No wonder they can get bigger and heavier fish. Meh, don't see much use for heavier fish anyway. :)

Well now I don't think that's true. I just went and finished the fishing competition last night and used the Champion Rod to catch a 2065g fish right there from the dock... I'd only fished for fish like 3 times. Everything else was fishing for items in rippley spots.

I have just proven my theory wrong. I just caught a fish that weighed...well, I'll tell exactly what it said:
Moonfish. Length: 184 cms. Weight: 104315g.

It looks like you can break the 100'000g barrier, though over 100 million is most likely out of the question. I have a photo on my Digital Camera but I don't have a USB cable at the moment.

I don't know... I just tried again for the heck of it and pulled in a 2963g moonfish. Maybe time of day has something to do with the size of the fish... anyone care to experiment with that?

For catching moon fishes try the dock's at Oakvale and fish between the boats at the end.. If i do it at midnight ull get a fish wheter u can eat 3 weeks from...
For the bleu fishes that give Magic experiance i dont know, But the normal fishes do best at all times of the day...
For catching gold fishes.. Do the same for moonfish only then on midday...
It doesnt always work thoug

Doesn't the fishing contest owner recommend fishing in the rain also? Anyone have better luck fishing in the rain?

I don't recall hearing that from him. Even if he said something like that, I don't think I ever caught a bigger fish when it is raining, if I recall correctly. I think that fishing competition person is just joking.

Just curioius, how long did it take to reel in one of these monster fish (100k+ gms)? My biggest to date is little over 6000 gms and it took quite awhile to bring it in.

I think some of the members mentioned that you have to keep fishing and eventually, the weight of the fish increases. Some of them also mentioned that you can go to the ocean and fish there. This is what I know so far from reading this thread.

whee! up to 49,449 gms so far!

How about some unlikely places to fish. I've actually had pretty good luck in the cellar at the gray house.

does wearing the fishing hat really help catch fish easier and i think my biggest was like 568235

Lol, only like 20,000g. The best place to catch fish is the Lychfeild Graveyard, as they tend to grow "unnatrually big" ;) Also if you have the Rod of Champions it helps
