Maybe if fatties wanted to go out in public nude and not be made fun of or think they look disgusting, they'll try to lose weight. Maybe it'll inspire them... 
I think it's just a desire to cling to more prudish, conservative views, not a desire to want to see the fattest people in the world walk around in the buff.
