I found it at Wikipedia .com and this is what it said''Scythe - An ancient Hero, Scythe is one of the oldest beings in Albion; only Jack of Blades has seen and done more. Obsessed with cheating death and kept alive only through supernatural means, Scythe is a withered shell of a man, resembling a tall, mummified corpse. At the beginning of the game, he leaves for the distant Northern Wastes to guard the Oracle of Snowspire. In Fable: The Lost Chapters, Scythe returns after the defeat of Jack of Blades to seek the Guild's help in battling a new threat to the Northern Wastes. He is the only Hero in the game the player is never given the option of killing'' I guess it doesn't really say he's immortal , but it sure sounds that way. :D

That could be because he is the only hero in the game that is a lot more powerful than the player rather than because he can't be killed :D I must admit, it does sound like he could be immortal, or pretty close to being immortal.

Anyway, this is kinda getting off topic now as any discussion about Scythe should probably be in the Fable:TLC forum :)

My bets are he is going to play major role in Fable 2 and this time
you might get the chance to end that cheating death streak.

Are you referring to Scythe? I am not sure if his comeback will be a good idea for Fable 2.

yes I mean him and I think it would if he is immortal it should work like KOTOR 2 where he asks you questions and how ever you answer effects his reply.

just thought i say somthin

1. Scythe is immortal, in the game if you look deep enough youll see he cheated death and is as old as the guild itself.
2.Avo and skorm dont exist in the game. I was talkin to the oracle in fable describing how Avo and skorm are false gods and it was all a pyramid schem for this one guy who is a greedy son of gun. It then turns into a full fledge religion.

It could be an entirely different storyline, the video on google doesn't give away much, I think the most probable thing is (from the video) the narrotor is the strange girl with the card, and maybe the guild master. From the video you can get guns as well, maybe you can't as in how you can'y get whispers spear...

But according to an article in Wikipedia, it stated that he used supernatural means to cheat death. Here's the description from that article:
Wikipedia's Fable article

Scythe - An ancient Hero, Scythe is one of the oldest beings in Albion; only Jack of Blades has seen and done more. Obsessed with cheating death and kept alive only through supernatural means, Scythe is a withered shell of a man, resembling a tall, mummified corpse. At the beginning of the game, he leaves for the distant Northern Wastes to guard the Oracle of Snowspire. He returns after the defeat of Jack of Blades to seek the Guild's help in battling a new threat to the Northern Wastes. He is the only Hero in the game the player is never given the option of killing.
Look at the sentence I underlined. Now, if someone is an immortal, would he/she go to such lengths to cheat death? Assuming that the said person is immortal, I don't think the individual will need to do so since he/she is already an immortal. On the other hand, since Scythe uses supernatural means to cheat death, one would clearly point out that he is, in fact, a mortal. Not immortal. He may be as old as the guild itself but that does not translate to immortality. The fact that he uses supernatural means to cheat death gives the impression that he is, and I say again, is a mortal that strives to live long even if it means using supernatural methods to do so.

I think further discussions about Scythe should go into the Discussion: Is Scythe immortal? thread at the Fable forum since this thread was meant to discuss Fable 2's story, not whether if Scythe's immortal or not.

As said, let's get back on track here. ;)

EDIT:

I have to agree that the Fable 2 teaser video shown a while back didn't provide much information regarding Fable 2 but I remember reading some articles and interviews of Peter Molyneux by a number of gaming sites, most notably, Gamespot, and he did confirm that guns will be in the game. If you don't believe me, head over to Gamespot and do a search on Fable 2. You'll be bound to find news and interviews related to Fable 2. ;)

As mentioned by DesR85, there is a thread discussing Scythe's immortality in the Fable and Fable:TLC forum. As this thread is in the Fable 2 forum and is focussed on possible storylines, any further posts discussing Scythe's immortality will be treated as off-topic posts (unless they are tied into a story idea) and will be deleted.

Idea From a N00B

I think that in the new story you should see the opening cut scene as you (small child, lets say 3 yrs) and you learn the basic controls and good-evil ascpect of the game similar to fable (tlc). And there is a war 2nd war of demons, devils, and gods. So albion all unknowing of the war except a few select people, like maybe scythe, the oracle from tlc in body form, the newest archon, and guildmaster, your old character, theresea, and of course, JOB( i dunno about you guys but i noticed more than one mask on him). Some of this ay not make sense becuase u may have done away with a few of these people in Fable 1 ot tlc version. Then my idea is that if you have a save of the 1st fables, it will go thru the files and remember what you done in those games, therfore twisting the story line. And along the line you do at least 25 main quests, ALL OF THEM BASED ON CHOOSING GOOD OR EVIL. And somewhere u meet the knowledgeble ones (people who know about the war) and then Jack of Blades awakins the dragons of the northern wastes and then after you destory all the dragons and defeat JOB, then, based on your choices you have to face either the good god:angel: , or the dark god.

What's that all ad up to like 30 rs of gameplay? lol

Please look at the age of the posts to which you are responding. When these posts were made, very few details were actually known about Fable 2.

the story is basicly you go on a quest for a sword then u bump into lucian(the main boss) who threw you out of a window when you were a kid and he is building a 50(might be 500 cnt remember) mile high tower then you defeat him n you get the tower
